- Emergency Relocation Saves the Championship! (May 18th, 2021) - With the sudden sale and closure of AMF Pro Bowl Lanes just three days before our final session of bowling, we were unsure if we'd be able to finish things up properly or just call it where we stood. Luckily for the team that ended up securing the championship last night, Gladstone Bowl helped us out by offering us four lanes to use so we could finish our season! It wasn't ideal squeezing 6 teams onto 4 lanes and maybe wasn't technically legal by USBC standards since the 3rd & 4th place teams bowled on separate sets of lanes, but thanks to Gladstone's help we were able to make the best of a bad situation. And with the top 4 teams all having a realistic shot at the title, it was a championship worth fighting for!
JoAnne Barber picked up this week's high game (146) and series (413) for the woman, while, Aaron Barber snagged this week's high game for the men with a 225, and men's high series was earned by Matthew Taylor with a 607.
A full recap of the Spring 2021 season, along with Season MVB and other details, will be coming in a few days. Meanwhile, read on to find out more about last night's results!

JoAnne Barber picked up this week's high game (161) and series (433) for the woman. As for the men, James Tott snagged this week's high game with a 235, and high series was earned by Matthew Taylor with a 614. Read on for all the rest of the details!

- League of The Forgotten (Apr 28th, 2021) - n the early months of the long, long ago year of 2021, twelve ball warriors who had fought and struggled on the lanes of North Kansas City for more than two decades found themselves discarded into the gutter, forgotten to time like the lonely souls in unmarked paupers graves. This is the story of their defiant effort one Tuesday evening to remind the world: "Yes, we still exist.
- Musical Chairs (Mar 31st, 2021) - After some false starts and lots of lane shuffling (first due to this week accidentally not flagged as a position round in the computer, then by the fact that we had been shifted 4 lanes to the left leading to the wrong set of lanes getting reset) the Spring 2021 position round finally got underway, resulting in changes only near the middle of the standings. As always seems to be the case, JoAnne Barber picked up this week's high game (156) and series (421) for the woman. As for the men, Michael Gordon snagged this week's high game with a 224, and high series was earned by Aaron Barber with a 595. Read on for all the rest of the details!

- Spencer For Hire (Oct 28th, 2020) - Ben Spencer is on fire, and apparently also for hire. After two weeks of some of his best bowling ever, Ben is now already fielding offers for next season. And that's no surprise after he quadfectaed this week by earning Most Valuable Bowler, #1 Power Ranked Bowler, and #1 Head-to-Head Bowler, as well as winning his division in the Tournament of Champions.
Elsewhere, JoAnne Barber picked up this week's high game (168) and series (388) for the woman. As for the men, Michael Gordon snagged this week's high game with a 237, and high series was earned by Ben Spencer with a 652. Read on for all the rest of the details!
- LeT it sNow Grabbable (Oct 20th, 2020) - After suffering devastating losses two weeks ago, it's now mathematically possible for Let It Snow to be knocked out of first place next week. On the other hand, it's also possible for Let ItS to clinch the championship. But we don't care about next week right now, you're hear to read about this week.
In a development that should shock no one. JoAnne Barber once again picked up this week's high game (128) and series (368) for the woman. Matthew Taylor earned this week's high game (256) and series (648) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!
- Worst Psychic Ever (Oct 13th, 2020) - The first night of the second half of the season is off to an inauspicious start by our Predictions engine, which completely botched its forecast for tonight. As for the men, Dennis Walling snagged this week's high game with a 234, and high series was earned by Curtis Whiles with a definitely-not-predicted 600. Read on for all the rest of the details!

- Let it snow motorboat a head (Sep 22nd, 2020) - Sure, it helps that we're down to a core set of bowlers so dedicated to bowling that they are risking their very lives to play, but for the first time in recorded league history we have now had perfect attendance two weeks in a row. In our second week JoAnne Barber once again picked up this week's high game (148) and series (356) for the woman, while Matthew Taylor earned this week's high game (257) and series (608) for the men. - Tuesdays Are 37.5% Normal Again (Sep 16th, 2020) - With the bowling alley resuming regular hours this week, the Fall 2020 Mini Season is finally underway. Four teams have entered the 8-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy, as well as the equally-nonexistent cash awards since we have decided to forgo those for such a small group.

womenwoman. As for the men, Dennis Walling snagged this week's high game with a 248, and high series was earned by Michael Gordon with a 633. Such as (in no particular order): League legend Pat Searcy passed after a 2-year battle with cancer. Donald Trump's impeachment trial. Wildfires in Australian. Mass anti-US protests in Iraq. Kobe Bryant died. Brexit. The brink of war with Iran. The Chiefs won the Superbowl. We had a parade.
- Carolina's Roller Coaster (Jan 21st, 2020) - The Spring 2020 season is now underway, with eight teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. One bowler set a new personal best series. Carolina Mach had a roller coaster of a night, picking up this week's high game (215) and series (416) for the women. This knocks Kathy Smith out of the 5th place for women's high page, after holding a position in the top 5 for nearly 20 years. More on that below. Meanwhile Seth Gunderson earned this week's high game (254) and series (626) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

- They're Back! (Nov 27th, 2019) - Despite it not being the most likely of the three possible outcomes tonight, See you next Tuesday! managed to clinch the championship a week early! Though it's been a few seasons since we last saw them on top, this makes the third title for this specific team. This is also the third title for Nick Kinney, the fourth for Aaron Barber, the seventh for Jonathan Vigliaturo, and then... twelfth... for Seth Gunderson. Congrats, guys!
- Sweepage! (Nov 19th, 2019) - As the Fall 2019 season draws closer to its conclusion, a bowling session that went almost exactly as predicted saw four sets of sweeps that led to... no change in the standings except for a flip of the bottom two positions. Freda Schroeder landed this week's high game for the women with a 151, and women's high series was bagged by Alison Radke with a 402. - Keeping It Brief (Nov 6th, 2019) - (Scoot here... I'm taking care of a dog that just came home from surgery while also trying to get some yard work done during this window of good weather, so I'm keeping this writeup short by mostly leaving it as what the bot generated.)
The twelfth week of Fall 2019 saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Alison Radke picked up this week's high game (167) and series (424) for the women, while Michael Gordon earned this week's high game (242) and series (674) for the men. - Happy Piniversary! (Oct 22nd, 2019) - As our league offocially celebrated its 20th birthday, some sort of malaise of old age set in. Apart from a few bright spots, rolling this week was so lackluster than not only did no one earn Most Valuable Bowler, nobody even qualified to be a runner-up! Through the mediocirty two teams did manage to climb in the standings, to the detriment of the two teams that slipped. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (159) and series (433) for the women. As for the men, Dennis Walling snagged this week's high game with a 256, and high series was earned by Seth Gunderson with a 583. Read on for all the rest of the details!

The ninth week of Fall 2019 saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (160) and series (455) for the women, while Ken M. Wilson earned this week's high game (226) and series (604) for the men. - Spring 2019 Recap (May 15th, 2019) -
- Clinched! (Apr 23rd, 2019) - Originally I was going to leave this week's as a robo-writeup due to me having another busy week, but then CICK Ass screwed that up for me by accomplishing something I had failed to notice they could do this week: they clinched the championship two weeks early! This makes the first championship for Chantal Jacot, 6 for Ian Goetz, a staggering 13 for Carl "Tits" Goetz, and an even more staggering 14 for Ken M. Wilson (sheesh!). Congratulations to all four of you!
- It was the best of frames, it was the worst of frames... (Apr 9th, 2019) - When we have 8 teams the Position Round slices our season cleanly in half. But when we have 12 teams the Position Round is more like the mighty guillotine, slicing off just the end while the main body remains on the slab of history. Three normal-ish weeks remain before the Championship round, but even lest time that that remains for anyone to act before the current #1 team clinches the championship outright.
- Let Chaos Reign (Apr 2nd, 2019) - By now every team has bowled each other once, so next week is the Spring 2019 position round. But enough about next week, you came here to read about this week. - Big Ball Chantal (Mar 12th, 2019) - Many times throughout our history bowlers have bought a new ball and seen immediate improvement in their game. But never before have we seen this happen as dramatically as it did last night with Chantal's new ball.
Overall, two teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series, and two rolled new personal high games. Chantal Jacot picked up this week's high game (208) and series (471) for the women, while Dennis Walling earned this week's high game (245) and series (634) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!
- The Lava Lamp (Mar 5th, 2019) - Like the globs in a lava lamp, teams have been taking turns rising to the top only to then quickly sink back down. This week was no exception, as CICK Ass returned to the top with We Don't Give a Split bubbling up just behind, while Pin Is King and #MGAGA have cooled and sunk, perhaps to be heated back up again.

Three bowlers didn't get the memo that you aren't supposed to do this the first week and set a new personal best series, and four rolled new personal high games. - Could Next Week Include a Three-Way? (Nov 27th, 2018) - Well, this is it, we’ve nearly reached the end of the season and the championship round is next week. While much attention has been focused on the struggles this season of defending champions Serious Bowlers and the fact that they are now eliminated from trophy contention, there’s another part of this story that deserves even more attention. And that is the quiet but rapid rise of BDE. Oncedangling limp down in 7th place, BDE has firmed up into virile force that has penetrated into championship contention and could explode into a messy situation for all of us next week if a couple of other teams don’t use adequate protection. More on next week’s potential sticky situation in a moment, let’s first run through how everyone did last night…
- Week 14 Semi Robo Recap (Nov 27th, 2018) - NOTE: Scoot was out of town when post-bowling scores came in and just got back late last night, so this will remain a robo-writeup except for a few special items highlighted below.

- Almost A Clean Sweep (Nov 13th, 2018) - This topsy-turvy season continues to get screwier and screwier, as four sweeps and a near sweep continued to stir up the standings. Once in 7th place, BDE this week pulled ahead of the two-time defending champions and found themselves tied for third place. Meanwhile rookie team Teeby Dee, who spent most of the season lingering near the bottom of the standings, suddenly finds a winning record within quick reach and is still mathematically a contender for the trophy. These two teams face each other next week, so this will be the game to watch as the outcome could be BDE moving cleanly into third place or TBD attaining a positive win record.
- The Voter Rolls (Nov 6th, 2018) - Last night, based on exit polling plus early returns, Bowling News Network (BNN) called first place for Serious Bowlers. Boy, are we red-faced about that one. We haven't missed a call that badly since we projected Hiillary Clinton the Tournament of Champions winner in Fall 2016!

- Hitting A Wall (Oct 9th, 2018) - We are now halfway through the Fall 2018 season, and the league seems to have hit a brick wall. Other than a tit-for-tat between BDE and We Don't Give A Split, no teams were able to budge in the standings with just a week to go before Position Round.
