Week #7 is the round each season in which every team has done battle against one another. This time around, the underdogs seemed to land some pretty solid punches against their opponents although not a single team moved at all in the league standings. Check it out...After taking the first two games behind anchor Ken M. Wilson's 648 series, Breaking Bad fell to a comeback victory from Bowltron in Game #3, allowing them to split the series after taking total pins as well. Bowltron was led by Ryan... (more...)

Week #6 is now in the history books and with it came very little in the realm of teams moving around in the league standings. While the league's overall average was better than we've seen lately, not much noise has been made at all on the lanes this season. Averages continue to be down, we're only seeing a fraction of the number of 200+ games typically rolled, and teams continue to underperform and yet come away with victories. All in all, this has been an odd season so far as we close in on the... (more...)

Getting half the league to swap places in the league standings every Tuesday night seems to quickly be on its way to becoming the norm. Week #4 brought a group of familiar faces back atop the league after a powerful performance from a man figuring out a new ball. While the overall league average is off this season (we're willing to blame it on the lack of beer being consumed due to cost increase – although sources inform us that the prices will be coming down next week across the board!),... (more...)

Open Letter from Ken: Pat Searcy for the Hall of Fame…

Fall 2013 Posted by Ken On September 9, 20133 COMMENTS

When we first began kicking around the idea of creating a Hall of Fame for GutterAlley, I talked to Scoot about who I figured were the shoo-ins right off the bat. One of the first names that instantly came to mind from both of us was Pat Searcy. Fast forward to today and here we are, a full five seasons of inductions later, and the Hall is still just not quite right in my eyes.Pat has not yet made it in. I really, really thought he'd be in by now. Many of us did as well, including all of the... (more...)

With the post-bowling scores now in, the full recap of what went down across all four matchups can now be reported. In the first matchup of the night, both Bewbie Dance and Breaking Bad looked to rebound after having suffering beat downs in Week #2. While Kody Karnes put up a league leading 663 series for Breaking Bad, it did not matter one bit as the Bewbies were firing on all cylinders. With anchor Carl Goetz... (more...)

Historically, Week #2 provides the wildest results as averages from the initial week are put to the test and those that did really well are battling themselves as well as their competitors. Those who didn't perform up to potential in their initial outing end up being the most dangerous to their opponents – which was the case this week for sure. To top off the most volatile week of the season, every single team shifted places in the league standings. Yes, you read that correctly – everyone... (more...)
