- Fall 2024 Bowling Preview! (Aug 13th, 2024) - Welcome to the Fall 2024 bowling season! We start bowling 2 weeks from tonight, on August 27, same location and same time as usual.
There is still time to submit roster changes, but for the time being all six teams seem to be the same as last time with two exceptions: Ray Scott is sitting this season out, and Nick Kinney is replacing Michael Gordon. Please get team names and any other roster changes to us by this weekend, and if anyone else wants to bowl who did not bowl last season, let Scoot or AJ know ASAP so we can find you a spot! (Reminder: Scoot is out of town most of next week so please try to finalize things by this weekend.)
- Ties Abound after Brutal Beatings (Feb 6th, 2024) - Brutal beatings of the underdogs by the stronger teams in all three matchups coincidentally resulted in three pairs of ties in the standings. One person rolled a new personal best game. JoAnne Barber picked up this week's high game (142) and series (408) for the woman. As for the men, AJ Hofmann snagged this week's high game with a 235, and high series was earned by an overstimulated Michael Gordon with a 574. And the Tournament of Champions divisions are now set, ready for one-on-one action to begin next week! Read on for all the rest of the details!
- It was the Worst of Times, it was the Worst of Times. (Oct 24th, 2023) - Let's face it, last night sucked. I don't know if it was the weather, geopolitical concerns, not enough relaxing pharmaceuticals partaken of before crossing the state line, or Ron putting the oil machine on the "Torture Pattern" setting as a joke, but it has been years since we've seen such an off night all across the board.
- Bowling Starts August 29! (Aug 28th, 2023) -
- Spring 2023 Recap (Jul 24th, 2023) -
- Off and Rolling (Jan 24th, 2023) - The Spring 2023 season is now underway, with six teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. One bowler rolled a new personal best game. As will likely happen 15 more times this season JoAnne Barber picked up this week's high game (131) and series (365) for the woman. As for the men, Nick Kinney forgot this is the week to sandbag and snagged this week's high game with a 237, and high series was earned by Matthew Taylor with a 610. Read on for all the rest of the details!
- Fall 2022 Recap (Dec 30th, 2022) -
- Week 8 RoboRecap (Oct 11th, 2022) - We are now halfway through the Fall 2022 season, and a stagnated eighth week resulted in absolutely no movement in the standings. JoAnne Barber picked up this week's high game (146) and series (388) for the women, while Matthew Taylor earned this week's high game (220) and series (581) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!
- Just Here for the Beer (Sep 27th, 2022) - A strong argument could be made that Gutter Alleyers were more interested in what was happening behind the bar than they were about what was happening on the lanes, as the news that two Croation beers were now available (one of which some of us have been waiting over a year to try) opened up wallets and gullets throughout all 6 lanes. The large green bottles could be found in almost every other drink holder. But in the realm of balls and pins, the sixth week saw two teams climb in the standings, while one team slipped. JoAnne Barber picked up this week's high game (121) and series (351) for the women, while Nick Kinney earned this week's high game (211) and series (602) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!
- Great Scott!!! (Sep 20th, 2022) - The fifth week saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler rolled a new personal best game, while another staged a surprise attack to claim two of this week's weekly awards. JoAnne Barber picked up this week's high game (148) and series (406) for the women. As for the men, Ian Goetz snagged this week's high game with a 206, and high series was earned by Dennis Walling with a 591. Read on for all the rest of the details!
