Posted by BowlingBot March 1, 2005 Spring 2005, Week 7 View Score Sheets

Spring 2005 Week 7 Robo-RecapBy now every team has bowled each other once, so next week is the Spring 2005 position round. But enough about next week, you came here to read about this week. The seventh week saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (169) and series (503) for the women, while Carl Goetz earned this week's high game (205) and series (588) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Bowlingstar Galactica tussled with Sub Parre. In spite of top-billing by Eric Lynch with his 528 series, the Galactica accomplished only 1 win against Sub Parre. On the other half of the score sheet, David Parre shined in Sub Parre with his above-average 465 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Bowlingstar Galactica drops 1 spot in the standings to 7th place, while Sub Parre moves 1 spot to 3rd.

week7On lanes 21 & 22: The Incredibowls kept stealing sips of beer from All Belt, No Buckle. Although topped by #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Carl Goetz and his above-average 588 series, The Incredibowls got swept by the Belt. In the meantime, Demond Robinson mastered the Belt with his above-average 550 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Nik Domann) as they swept the competition. The Incredibowls remains in 8th place, while the Belt remains in 2nd.

On lanes 23 & 24: Big Pin Pin couldn't stop undressing with their eyes the members of Nellielocks and the 3 Spares. Blessed by Mitch Wheeler with his 456 series, Pin Pin collected 3 wins against Nellielocks. Meanwhile, Dennis Laube oversaw Nellielocks with his 521 despite his team notching only a single win. Big Pin Pin leaps 1 spot in the standings to 6th place, while Nellielocks remain in 5th.

Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: 4 Play shared a platter of cheese sticks with Handicrappers. Highlighting the skills of Angela Bradford with her above-average 503 series, 4 Play collected 3 wins against Handicrappers. While that was going down, Paul Linder showed off in Handicrappers with his 409 despite his team notching only a single win. 4 Play remains in 1st place, while Handicrappers sink 1 spot to 4th.

Bowlers getting the VIP treatment in The 200 Club include: Carl Goetz (205) and Demond Robinson (202)

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Demond Robinson creamed Division 1, while Nik Domann topped Division 2. Freda Schroeder conquered Division 3, and nobody claimed victory in Division 4 (though Ashley Razak came closest). In terms of overall points: Demond Robinson tops Division 1; Michael Basham dominates Division 2; Freda Schroeder runs the show in Division 3; and Amanda Schulte calls the shots for Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:

  • First, on lanes 19&20, 1st-place 4 Play will chuck some balls with 2nd-place All Belt, No Buckle (hcp 18). 4 Play is expected to maintain their current strength as they and split the series with the Belt; while the Belt is forecast to raise their average while they keep the series tied.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 3rd-place Sub Parre (hcp 2) will socialize with 4th-place Handicrappers. Sub Parre might perform well and win the series; while Handicrappers ought to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 5th-place Nellielocks and the 3 Spares will meet with 6th-place Big Pin Pin (hcp 58). Nellielocks will likely roll decently and just barely win the series; while Pin Pin will probably hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
  • Finally, on lanes 25&26, 7th-place Bowlingstar Galactica will challenge 8th-place The Incredibowls (hcp 13). The Galactica is predicted to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while The Incredibowls are anticipated to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
