The ninth week of Spring 2005 saw three teams climb in the standings, while four teams slipped. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (199) and series (580) for the women. As for the men, Demond Robinson snagged this week's high game with a 234, and high series was earned by Carl Goetz with a 600. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Handicrappers chucked gutter balls with The Incredibowls. Despite being led by Amanda Schulte with her above-average 379 series, Handicrappers got swept by The Incredibowls. Across the ball return, Carl Goetz guided The Incredibowls with his above-average 600 as they swept the competition. Handicrappers drop 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while The Incredibowls jump 2 spots to 6th.

On lanes 21 & 22: Sub Parre couldn't stop undressing with their eyes the members of Big Pin Pin. Reinforced by Andy Metzler with his above-average 492 series, Sub Parre collected 3 wins against Pin Pin. Conversely, Brad Zollars dominated Pin Pin with his above-average 446 despite his team notching only a single win. Sub Parre leaps 1 spot in the standings to 3rd place, while Pin Pin sinks 1 spot to 7th.

On lanes 23 & 24: 4 Play spent a romantic evening with Bowlingstar Galactica. With the strength of trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Angela Bradford and her dazzling 580 series, 4 Play celebrated a clean sweep over the Galactica. While that was going down, Jason Carpio reigned supreme in the Galactica with his commanding 569 despite his team getting swept. 4 Play leaps 1 spot in the standings to 1st place, while the Galactica sinks 1 spot to 8th.

Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: All Belt, No Buckle kept grabbing the balls of Nellielocks and the 3 Spares. Demonstrating the prowess of Nik Domann with his above-average 546 series, the Belt collected 3 wins against Nellielocks. On the other side, Dennis Laube oversaw Nellielocks with his 506 despite his team notching only a single win. All Belt, No Buckle drops 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while Nellielocks remain in 5th.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Carl Goetz eradicated Division 1, while Angela Bradford triumphed over her enemies in Division 2. Scott Murdock rolled his ass to the top of Division 3, and Andrea Wilson staked a claim for the Iron Throne in Division 4. In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz reigns over Division 1; Michael Basham holds the reins in Division 2; Freda Schroeder runs the show in Division 3; and Andrea Wilson calls the shots for Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:

• First, on lanes 19&20, 5th-place Nellielocks and the 3 Spares will face 8th-place Bowlingstar Galactica (hcp 11). Nellielocks are expected to perform well and sweep the series; while the Galactica is forecast to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
• Moving to lanes 21&22, 2nd-place All Belt, No Buckle will chuck some balls with 1st-place 4 Play (hcp 36). The Belt might perform well and win the series; while 4 Play ought to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
