Fall 2005 Week 1 Robo-RecapThe Fall 2005 season is now underway, with eight teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and three rolled new personal high games. Tracy Rychlewski landed this week's high game for the women with a 183, and women's high series was bagged by Freda Schroeder with a 484. As for the men, Ken M. Wilson earned this week's high game (238) and series (642). Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Same Belt, New Notch shared a platter of cheese sticks with Three Men and a Babe. Showcasing Carl Goetz with his 541 series, the Belt split the series with Three Men and a Babe. Conversely, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Ken M. Wilson called the shots for Three Men and a Babe with his miraculous 642 as they matched their opponent in wins. Same Belt, New Notch begins with 3rd place, while Three Men and a Babe starts off with 4th.

week1On lanes 21 & 22: Tatonka waged a heated competition against Bora Bora!. Demonstrating the prowess of Will Jeter with his 437 series, Tatonka split the series with Bora Bora!. On the other side, Freda Schroeder shined in Bora Bora! with her 484 as they matched their opponent in wins. Tatonka leaves the gate in 6th place, while Bora Bora! gets rolling in 5th.

On lanes 23 & 24: The Big LeBowlskies accepted a challenge by Derka, Derka. Despite the strength of Dennis Laube with his 455 series, The Big LeBowlskies accomplished only 1 win against Derka, Derka. Across the ball return, Rich DeYoung showed off in Derka, Derka with his 539 as his team took the series with 3 wins. The Big LeBowlskies gets underway in 8th place, while Derka, Derka gets going with 1st.

Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: Munson'd had some one-on-one time with Harry Potter and the Magic Balls. Although topped by Thomas Fowler with his 423 series, Munson'd accomplished only 1 win against Harry Potter. Simultaneously, Andy Metzler dominated Harry Potter with his phenomenal 543 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Munson'd starts out in 7th place, while Harry Potter commences the season with 2nd.

New personal high games were set tonight by Scott Murdock (198, previous best 195), Tracy Rychlewski (183, previous best 154), and Andy Metzler (231, previous best 196). In addition, new personal best series were rolled by Tracy Rychlewski (452, previous best 373) and Andy Metzler (543, previous best 512).

Derka, Derka is expected to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Harry Potter is forecast to drop their average a bit while they avoid getting swept.
  • Moving to lanes 23&24, 8th-place The Big LeBowlskies (estimated estimated hcp 83) will match wits with 7th-place Munson'd. The Big LeBowlskies might powerful and sweep the series; while Munson'd ought to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
  • Then, over on lanes 25&26, 4th-place Three Men and a Babe will battle 5th-place Bora Bora! (estimated hcp 137). Three Men and a Babe will likely maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Bora Bora! will probably raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
