The fifth week of Fall 2005 saw four teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (157) and series (446) for the women. As for the men, Carl Goetz snagged this week's high game with a 230, and high series was earned by Ken M. Wilson with a 598. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 21 & 22: Munson'd alternated between bowling and dry humping Same Belt, New Notch. Despite the strength of Mark Belles with his 364 series, Munson'd got swept by the Belt. As for the opposition, Carl Goetz showed off in the Belt with his above-average 577 as they swept the competition. Munson'd remains in 8th place, while the Belt jumps 2 spots to 2nd.

On lanes 23 & 24: Bora Bora! had a delightful time with Derka, Derka. Led by trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) John Richardson and his astounding 476 series, Bora Bora! celebrated a clean sweep over Derka, Derka. Simultaneously, Rich DeYoung commanded Derka, Derka with his below-average 518 despite his team getting swept. Bora Bora! leaps 1 spot in the standings to 5th place, while Derka, Derka plunges 3 spots to 4th.

On lanes 25 & 26: Tatonka shared a platter of cheese sticks with Harry Potter and the Magic Balls. Featuring Will Jeter with his below-average 470 series, Tatonka celebrated a clean sweep over Harry Potter. Across the ball return, David Hayob reigned supreme in Harry Potter with his 449 despite his team getting swept. Tatonka leaps 2 spots in the standings to 1st place, while Harry Potter remains in 7th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: The Big LeBowlskies spent a romantic evening with Three Men and a Babe. In spite of top-billing by Nik Domann with his 536 series, The Big LeBowlskies got swept by Three Men and a Babe. Meanwhile, Ken M. Wilson guided Three Men and a Babe with his 598 as they swept the competition. The Big LeBowlskies plummet 4 spots in the standings to 6th place, while Three Men and a Babe jumps 2 spots to 3rd.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Ken M. Wilson swept Division 1, while Seth Gunderson walloped Division 2. Phil Schroeder whipped Division 3, and Andrea DeLong decimated Division 4. In terms of overall points: Ken M. Wilson is in the driver's seat in Division 1; Seth Gunderson reigns over Division 2; Phil Schroeder calls the shots for Division 3; and Andrea DeLong tops Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:

• First, on lanes 21&22, 3rd-place Three Men and a Babe will throw some gutter balls with 1st-place Tatonka (hcp 121). Three Men and a Babe is expected to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Tatonka is forecast to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
• Moving to lanes 23&24, 7th-place Harry Potter and the Magic Balls (hcp 44) will chill with 6th-place The Big LeBowlskies. Harry Potter might maintain their current strength as they and split the series with The Big LeBowlskies; while The Big LeBowlskies ought to drop their average a bit while keep the series tied.
• Then, over on lanes 25&26, 5th-place Bora Bora! (hcp 116) will compete against 2nd-place Same Belt, New Notch. Bora Bora! will likely roll decently, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Belt will probably hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
• Finally, on lanes 27&28, 4th-place Derka, Derka will roll against 8th-place Munson'd (hcp 92). Derka, Derka is predicted to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Munson'd is anticipated to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
