Fall 2005 Week 7 Robo-RecapBy now every team has bowled each other once, so next week is the Fall 2005 position round. But enough about next week, you came here to read about this week. The seventh week saw two teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. Kathryn Holt landed this week's high game for the women with a 147, and women's high series was bagged by Janelle (Laube) Lamar with a 396. As for the men, David Codding earned this week's high game (203) and series (547). Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 21 & 22: Bora Bora! matched wits with Munson'd. Topped by John Richardson with his 396 series, Bora Bora! collected 3 wins against Munson'd. . With Munson'd forfeiting, all Bora Bora! needed to do was roll within 40 pins of their combined team average each game. However, that would not be the case. Bora Bora! leaps 1 spot in the standings to 5th place, while Munson'd remains in 8th.

week7On lanes 23 & 24: Derka, Derka traded lane malfunctions with Same Belt, New Notch. Reinforced by Thomas Lin with his 511 series, Derka, Derka collected 3 wins against the Belt. Meanwhile, Demond Robinson mastered the Belt with his 523 despite his team notching only a single win. Derka, Derka leaps 2 spots in the standings to 2nd place, while the Belt sinks 1 spot to 3rd.

On lanes 25 & 26: Harry Potter and the Magic Balls shared a platter of cheese sticks with Three Men and a Babe. Highlighting the skills of Andy Metzler with his 467 series, Harry Potter collected 3 wins against Three Men and a Babe. On the flipside, David Codding guided Three Men and a Babe with his below-average 547 despite his team notching only a single win. Harry Potter and the Magic Balls remains in 7th place, while Three Men and a Babe sinks 1 spot to 6th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Tatonka celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with The Big LeBowlskies. Headlined by Will Jeter with his below-average 432 series, and supported tremendously by real star — trifecta-winner #1 Power-Ranked, #1 Head-to-Head, and Most Valuable Bowler Andy McLeod, Tatonka collected 3 wins against The Big LeBowlskies. Conversely, Dennis Laube showed off in The Big LeBowlskies with his 515 despite his team notching only a single win. Tatonka remains in 1st place, while The Big LeBowlskies sink 1 spot to 4th.

Bowlers rolling into The 200 Club include: David Codding (203) and Thomas Lin (201)

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Andy Metzler decimated Division 1, while David Parre routed Division 2. Nobody claimed victory in Division 3, and in fact we aren't even going to talk about Division 3 as it was a complete embarassment, and Greg Franklin shut down Division 4. In terms of overall points: Ken M. Wilson dominates Division 1; David Parre calls the shots for Division 2; Phil Schroeder reigns over Division 3; and Andrea DeLong governs Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:

  • First, on lanes 21&22, 1st-place Tatonka (hcp 86) will spend some quality time with 2nd-place Derka, Derka. Tatonka is expected to perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Derka, Derka is forecast to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
  • Moving to lanes 23&24, 3rd-place Same Belt, New Notch will chill with 4th-place The Big LeBowlskies (hcp 45). The Belt might perform well and win the series; while The Big LeBowlskies ought to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
  • Then, over on lanes 25&26, 5th-place Bora Bora! (hcp 100) will test their mettle against 6th-place Three Men and a Babe. Bora Bora! will likely roll decently, but split the series with Three Men and a Babe; while Three Men and a Babe will probably hold steady as they keep the series tied.
  • Finally, on lanes 27&28, 7th-place Harry Potter and the Magic Balls will match wits with 8th-place Munson'd (hcp 35). Harry Potter is predicted to roll a little low and lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Munson'd is anticipated to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
