The Spring 2006 season draws to a close, with I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka! officially earning this season's championship title! A stagnated final week resulted in absolutely no movement in the standings. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (164) and series (453) for the women, while Pat Searcy earned this week's high game (241) and series (648) for the men. First up, on lanes 21 & 22: I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka! hung out with Bowl Movement. Led by #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Pat Searcy and his above-average 648 series, the Belt split the series with Bowl Movement. Concurrently, David Codding drew the spotlight in Bowl Movement with his 574 as they matched their opponent in wins. I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka! close out in 1st place, while Bowl Movement cross the finish line in 2nd.
On lanes 23 & 24: Bora Bora entered a showdown to the death with Sweeter Than Yoohoo. Headlined by Dennis Laube with his above-average 555 series, Bora Bora split the series with Yoohoo. On the other half of the score sheet, Thomas Lin shined in Yoohoo with his 565 as they matched their opponent in wins. Bora Bora end the season in 3rd place, while Yoohoo end up with 4th.
On lanes 25 & 26: Split Happens matched wits with Guttersluts. Though featuring James Long with his below-average 471 series, Split Happens accomplished only 1 win against Guttersluts. Across the ball return, Dana Babler reigned supreme in Guttersluts with her commanding 411 as her team took the series with 3 wins. Split Happens finish in 5th place, while Guttersluts come out in 6th.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Yo Mama tussled with Tatonka. Starring Most Valuable Bowler Jason Caton and his amazing 510 series, Yo Mama celebrated a clean sweep over Tatonka. As for the opposition, Will Jeter laid down the law in Tatonka with his above-average 480 despite his team getting swept. Yo Mama complete in 7th place, while Tatonka wind up in 8th.
Bowlers who lied to their significant other claiming bowling was running long then went out for after-bowling drinks at The 200 Club include: Carl Goetz (216), David Codding (224), Ken M. Wilson (215), Pat Searcy (215,241), Seth Gunderson (222), and Thomas Lin (205,215)
After a hard fought season, the Tournament of Champions was won tonight by Dennis Laube (Division 2),
with landing in second place. Dennis will pocket the nice first-place pot,
while will take away the second-place pot. Congratulations!
