Spring 2006 Week 6 Robo-RecapThe sixth week of Spring 2006 saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Two bowler roll a new personal best game. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (178) and series (493) for the women, while Carl Goetz earned this week's high game (245) and series (608) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 21 & 22: Yo Mama shared a platter of cheese sticks with Tatonka. Topped by Andy Metzler with his 509 series, Yo Mama collected 3 wins against Tatonka. On the flipside, Will Jeter called the shots for Tatonka with his above-average 486 despite his team notching only a single win. Yo Mama leaps 1 spot in the standings to 5th place, while Tatonka remains in 7th.

week6On lanes 23 & 24: Bora Bora matched wits with I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka!. Showcasing Dennis Laube with his 530 series, Bora Bora split the series with the Belt. Simultaneously, Jason Carpio dominated the Belt with his above-average 602 as they matched their opponent in wins. Bora Bora drops 1 spot in the standings to 6th place, while the Belt remains in 1st.

On lanes 25 & 26: Split Happens celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Bowl Movement. With top billing by #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Ryan Doll and his thrilling 589 series, Split Happens split the series with Bowl Movement. As for the opposition, Carl Goetz shined in Bowl Movement with his 608 as they matched their opponent in wins. Split Happens leap 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while Bowl Movement remains in 4th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Guttersluts had a delightful time with Sweeter Than Yoohoo. Featuring Aaron Hoyt with his remarkable 408 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Erin deVries, Guttersluts collected 3 wins against Yoohoo. Across the ball return, Tim Segraves laid down the law in Yoohoo with his staggering 599 despite his team notching only a single win. Guttersluts remains in 8th place, while Yoohoo sinks 1 spot to 3rd.

Bowlers rolling into The 200 Club include: Carl Goetz (245), David Codding (201), Jason Carpio (235), Pat Searcy (203), Ryan Doll (203,204), Steve Kiernan (212), and Tim Segraves (234)

New personal high games were set tonight by Jason Carpio (235, previous best 221) and Aaron Hoyt (182, previous best 169).

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Pat Searcy had his way with Division 1, while Dennis Laube trounced Division 2. Scott Murdock eradicated Division 3, and Ryan Doll won Division 4. And, finally, nobody claimed victory in the Interdivisional bracket (though Steve Kiernan and Freda Schroeder (Division ) came closest). In terms of overall points: Michael Basham and Pat Searcy dominate Division 1 in a tie; David Codding holds the reins in Division 2; Tim Segraves governs Division 3; and Ryan Doll tops Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 21&22, 2nd-place Split Happens (hcp 108) will share a couple of pitchers with 3rd-place Sweeter Than Yoohoo. Split Happens are expected to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Yoohoo is forecast to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
  • Moving to lanes 23&24, 8th-place Guttersluts (hcp 317) will chill with 4th-place Bowl Movement. Guttersluts might perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Bowl Movement ought to drop their average a bit even as they enjoy their victories.
  • Then, over on lanes 25&26, 6th-place Bora Bora will spend some quality time with 5th-place Yo Mama (hcp 68). Bora Bora will likely maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Yo Mama will probably raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
  • Finally, on lanes 27&28, 7th-place Tatonka (hcp 160) will roll against 1st-place I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka!. Tatonka is predicted to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Belt is anticipated to drop their average a bit even as they enjoy their victories.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
