The Fall 2008 season is now underway, with ten teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. Andrea Caudillo picked up this week's high game (182) and series (494) for the women. As for the men, Ryan Doll snagged this week's high game with a 232, and high series was earned by Kendall Kukowski with a 583. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Bad Newz Kennels waged a heated competition against Ain't No Sh!t. Demonstrating the prowess of Dennis Laube with his 482 series, the Kennels split the series with Ain't No Sh!t. Simultaneously, #1 Head-to-Head Kendall Kukowski showed off in Ain't No Sh!t with his dramatic 583 (with a nod to #1 Power-Ranked Duncan Ferber) as they matched their opponent in wins. Bad Newz Kennels gets underway in 5th place, while Ain't No Sh!t gets going with 4th.

On lanes 21 & 22: Chico's Bail Bonds entered a showdown to the death with Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty. Featuring Ken M. Wilson with his 554 series, Chico's collected 3 wins against Spare The Rod. In the meantime, Will Jeter oversaw Spare The Rod with his stupendous 528 despite his team notching only a single win. Chico's Bail Bonds begins the season in 1st place, while Spare The Rod starts off with 8th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Livin' On A Spare took turns kicking the ball return with Dios Mios. Even though highlighted by the skills of Tom Finley with his 344 series, Livin' On A Spare accomplished only 1 win against Dios Mios. On the adjacent lane, Bill Krejci mastered Dios Mios with his 482 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Livin' On A Spare begins with 10th place, while Dios Mios get rolling in 2nd.

On lanes 25 & 26: Is This Billable? deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of WWJB. Starring Ryan Doll with his 524 series, Is This Billable? split the series with WWJB. Conversely, Justin Wehrman shined in WWJB with his 446 as they matched their opponent in wins. Is This Billable? starts out in 6th place, while WWJB commences the season with 7th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Dave and the Wingers did battle with Bowl Movement. Though reinforced by Rob Kaszuba with his 370 series, the Wingers accomplished only 1 win against Bowl Movement. On the other side, Carter Collins laid down the law in Bowl Movement with his 366 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Patty Morrisey) as his team took the series with 3 wins. Dave and the Wingers 9th place, while Bowl Movement 3rd.

The Tournament of Champions begins in 3 weeks. Here are how the divisions are shaping up so far:

• First, on lanes 19&20, 6th-place Is This Billable? (estimated hcp 80) will hang out with 1st-place Chico's Bail Bonds. Is This Billable? is expected to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Chico's are forecast to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
• Moving to lanes 21&22, 5th-place Bad Newz Kennels will tussle with 2nd-place Dios Mios (estimated hcp 168). The Kennels might perform well, yet still manage to get swept; while Dios Mios ought to catapult their team average they rack up a sweep.
• Then, over on lanes 23&24, 4th-place Ain't No Sh!t will socialize with 9th-place Dave and the Wingers (estimated hcp 228).
