The eleventh week of Spring 2009 saw three teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (164) and series (455) for the women. As for the men, Duncan Ferber snagged this week's high game with a 233, and high series was earned by Ken M. Wilson with a 608. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Chicks With Balls deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of Chico's Bail Bonds. Though reinforced by Janelle (Laube) Lamar with her above-average 439 series, the Chicks got swept by Chico's. While that was going down, #1 Head-to-Head Ken M. Wilson took the lead in Chico's with his miraculous 608 as they swept the competition. Chicks With Balls remains in 6th place, while Chico's move 1 spot to 2nd.
On lanes 21 & 22: XXX accepted a challenge by Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends. With top billing by Tiffany Schmidt with her 320 series, XXX split the series with Wonder Friends. Countering this, Ryan Housknecht laid down the law in Wonder Friends with his above-average 433 as they matched their opponent in wins. XXX remains in 10th place, while Wonder Friends remain in 9th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Sh!t, Another Season shared a few beers with No Pinheads. Featuring Duncan Ferber with his 559 series, Another Season collected 3 wins against No Pinheads. Conversely, Phil Schroeder reigned supreme in No Pinheads with his 476 despite his team notching only a single win. Sh!t, Another Season leaps 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while No Pinheads sink 1 spot to 5th.
On lanes 25 & 26: Turkey Sandwich did battle with Schlitz For Us, Splits For You. Although topped by Jason Carpio with his below-average 485 series, Turkey Sandwich got swept by Schlitz. As for the opposition, Scott Murdock, Bob Brunker shined in Schlitz with their 493 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Scott Murdock) as they swept the competition. Turkey Sandwich drops 1 spot in the standings to 8th place, while Schlitz remains in 1st.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: WWJB kept grabbing the balls of Rule 6B. With the strength of #1 Power-Ranked Rich Foster and his powerful 500 series, WWJB collected 3 wins against Rule 6B. On the other half of the score sheet, Ryan Doll called the shots for Rule 6B with his 502 despite his team notching only a single win. WWJB leaps 1 spot in the standings to 7th place, while Rule 6B sinks 1 spot to 3rd.
Bowlers who lied to their significant other claiming bowling was running long then went out for after-bowling drinks at The 200 Club include: Bob Brunker (208), Cory Chorpenning (217), Duncan Ferber (233), Ken M. Wilson (226), Rich Foster (228), Rob Kaszuba (201), and Ryan Doll (203)
A new personal high game was set tonight by Eric Summers (161, previous best 159). In addition, a new personal best series was rolled by Chris Lewis (515, previous best 502).
In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Ken M. Wilson creamed Division 1, while nobody claimed victory in Division 2 (though Ryan Doll came closest). Scott Murdock creamed Division 3, and Ryan Housknecht won Division 4. And, finally, nobody claimed victory in the Interdivisional bracket (though Ryan Doll and Chris Lewis (Division ) came closest). In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz dominates Division 1; Angela Bradford and David Parre are both in the driver's seat (on each other's laps?) in Division 2 in a tie; Scott Murdock reigns over Division 3; and Deena Slinkard calls the shots for Division 4.

- Finally, on lanes 27&28, 10th-place XXX (hcp 92) will throw some gutter balls with 1st-place Schlitz For Us, Splits For You. XXX is predicted to maintain their current strength as they get swept; while Schlitz is anticipated to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
