The fourteenth week of Spring 2009 saw one team climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (223) and series (595) for the women. As for the men, Jason Carpio snagged this week's high game with a 232, and high series was earned by David Codding with a 655. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Chico's Bail Bonds hung out with Schlitz For Us, Splits For You. Highlighting the skills of #1 Head-to-Head David Codding and his astounding 655 series, Chico's collected 3 wins against Schlitz. Conversely, #1 Power-Ranked Angela Bradford drew the spotlight in Schlitz with her wondrous 595 despite her team notching only a single win. Chico's Bail Bonds remains in 2nd place, while Schlitz remains in 1st.
On lanes 21 & 22: Sh!t, Another Season took turns kicking the ball return with XXX. Featuring Cory Chorpenning with his above-average 598 series, Another Season celebrated a clean sweep over XXX. Meanwhile, Rich DeYoung called the shots for XXX with his above-average 521 despite his team getting swept. Sh!t, Another Season remains in 5th place, while XXX remains in 10th.
On lanes 23 & 24: No Pinheads deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends. Blessed by Dennis Laube with his 493 series, No Pinheads collected 3 wins against Wonder Friends. . With Wonder Friends forfeiting, all No Pinheads needed to do was roll within 40 pins of their combined team average each game. However, that would not be the case. No Pinheads remains in 4th place, while Wonder Friends sink 1 spot to 9th.
On lanes 25 & 26: Rule 6B couldn't stop undressing with their eyes the members of Chicks With Balls. With top billing by Adam Messner with his above-average 460 series, Rule 6B celebrated a clean sweep over the Chicks. On the other side, Janelle (Laube) Lamar reigned supreme in the Chicks with her above-average 457 despite her team getting swept. Rule 6B remains in 3rd place, while the Chicks sink 1 spot to 8th.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Turkey Sandwich traded lane malfunctions with WWJB. Reinforced by Jason Carpio with his above-average 607 series, Turkey Sandwich collected 3 wins against WWJB. On the other half of the score sheet, Most Valuable Bowler Rich Foster laid down the law in WWJB with his miraculous 490 despite his team notching only a single win. Turkey Sandwich leaps 2 spots in the standings to 7th place, while WWJB remains in 6th.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Nobody claimed victory in Division 1 (though David Codding came closest), while Rob Kaszuba cleaned up Division 2. Janelle (Laube) Lamar routed Division 3, and Rich Foster won Division 4. Finally, Cory Chorpenning (Division 1) rolled his ass to the top of this week's Interdivisional bracket. In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz dominates Division 1; Phil Schroeder holds the reins in Division 2; Adam Messner governs Division 3; and Deena Slinkard tops Division 4.

- First, on lanes 19&20, 5th-place Sh!t, Another Season will tussle with 7th-place Turkey Sandwich (hcp 120). Another Season is expected to roll a little low, yet still manage to win the series; while Turkey Sandwich is forecast to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.

- Finally, on lanes 27&28, 4th-place No Pinheads will face 8th-place Chicks With Balls (hcp 107). No Pinheads are predicted to maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while the Chicks are anticipated to raise their average even as they endure a rough night.
