Spring 2010 Week 13 Robo-RecapThe thirteenth week of Spring 2010 saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. Two bowler roll a new personal best game. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (235) and series (563) for the women, while Jason Carpio earned this week's high game (286) and series (633) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 25 & 26: No Pinheads hung out with The Prak Attack. Blessed by Aubrey Moren with his 524 series, the Pinheads split the series with the Attack. On the flipside, Shane Pfaffly took the lead in the Attack with his below-average 398 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Bill Riley) as they matched their opponent in wins. No Pinheads drop 1 spot in the standings to 7th place, while the Attack remains in 5th.

week13On lanes 27 & 28: Bowlumpkin alternated between bowling and dry humping 3 Pin Moon. Reinforced by Jason Carpio with his spectacular 633 series, Bowlumpkin collected 3 wins against 3 Pin Moon. On the adjacent lane, Adam Messner guided 3 Pin Moon with his 478 despite his team notching only a single win. Bowlumpkin leaps 1 spot in the standings to 6th place, while 3 Pin Moon remains in 3rd.

On lanes 29 & 30: Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz did battle with Little Lebowski Urban Achievers. Even though highlighted by the skills of Angela Bradford with her above-average 563 series, the Schlitz accomplished only 1 win against the Urban Achievers. Conversely, Sarah Sauer commanded the Urban Achievers with her above-average 432 as her team took the series with 3 wins. Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz remains in 2nd place, while the Urban Achievers remain in 8th.

Finally, down on lanes 31 & 32: Lil' Devils celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Empire Strikes Back. Though featuring #1 Head-to-Head Janelle (Laube) Lamar and her above-average 463 series, Lil' Devils accomplished only 1 win against the Empire. Simultaneously, #1 Power-Ranked Ken M. Wilson oversaw the Empire with his above-average 615 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Lil' Devils remains in 4th place, while the Empire remains in 1st.

New personal high games were set tonight by Jason Carpio (286, previous best 276) and AJ Taylor (215, previous best 190).

Angela Bradford earned this season's women's high game with her 235 In addition, Jason Carpio nabbed this season's men's high game with his 286.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Nobody claimed victory in Division 1 (though Ian Goetz came closest), while Chris Lewis won Division 2. AJ Taylor dominated Division 3, and Bill Riley decimated Division 4. In terms of overall points: Ken M. Wilson holds the reins in Division 1; Chris Lewis is in the driver's seat in Division 2; AJ Taylor dominates Division 3; and Lawrence Prak runs the show in Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 25&26, 2nd-place Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz (hcp 63) will face 1st-place Empire Strikes Back. The Schlitz is expected to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Empire is forecast to drop their average a bit even as they enjoy their victories.
  • Moving to lanes 27&28, 8th-place Little Lebowski Urban Achievers (hcp 16) will tussle with 4th-place Lil' Devils. The Urban Achievers might maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Lil' Devils ought to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
  • Then, over on lanes 29&30, 5th-place The Prak Attack (hcp 35) will test their mettle against 6th-place Bowlumpkin. The Attack will likely maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Bowlumpkin will probably raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
  • Finally, on lanes 31&32, 3rd-place 3 Pin Moon will socialize with 7th-place No Pinheads (hcp 3). 3 Pin Moon is predicted to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while the Pinheads are anticipated to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
