A sparsely-attended eleventh week of Fall 2024 saw one team climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Seth Gunderson snagged this week's high game with a 212, and high series was earned by Ben Spencer with a 577. Scooter is too depressed and horrified to do a proper writeup this week, and if he did it would just be a rehash of the November 9, 2016 recap. First up, on lanes 1 & 2: Half of Scootytang shared a few beers with Half of Scooter's Succulent Sausages™. With the strength of Seth Gunderson with his 543 series, with props to #1 Head-to-Head bowler Buck Nasty, Tang collected 3 wins against Sausagemakers. Concurrently, Scott Murdock with his better-than-normal 467 series commanded Sausagemakers despite his team notching only a single win. Scootytang leaps 2 spots in the standings to 2nd place, while Sausages sink 1 spot to 3rd.

On lanes 3 & 4: In a juxtaposition of two close team averages, Stealing Pins in the Burrows entered a showdown to the death with Bowls Deep. Topped by Nathan Burrows with his above-average 446 series, along with kudos to #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Chris Lenz, Pin Thieves collected 3 wins against Bowls. Among the other players in the match, Kent Harms with his 506 series drew the spotlight of Bowls despite his team notching only a single win. Stealing Pins in the Burrows remains in 5th place, while Bowls sink 1 spot to 4th.

Finally, down on lanes 5 & 6: In a rather lopsided matchup, the rascally Sun Dolphins deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of the oppressive Squid Row. Notwithstanding the leadership of Ryan Sisco with his above-average 442 series, Dolphins got swept by Calimari. Conversely, Ben Spencer with his better-than-normal 577 series oversaw Calimari as they swept the competition. Sun Dolphins remains in 6th place, while Calimari remains in 1st.

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Buck Nasty (468, previous best 457).

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Ben Spencer mopped up Division 1, while Scott Murdock routed Division 2. Buck Nasty shut down Division 3, and Chris Lenz crushed Division 4. In terms of overall points: Seth Gunderson is in the driver's seat in Division 1; Scott Murdock holds the reins in Division 2; Buck Nasty dominates Division 3; and Chris Lenz and Brian Schaben reign over Division 4 in a tie.

NEXT WEEK:

• First, on lanes 1&2, 5th-place Stealing Pins in the Burrows (hcp 176) will socialize with 1st-place Squid Row. Pin Thieves are expected to roll a little low and get swept; while Calimari is forecast to raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
• Moving to lanes 3&4, 3rd-place Scooter's Succulent Sausages™ will throw some gutter balls with 6th-place Sun Dolphins (hcp 83). Sausagemakers might maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Dolphins ought to drop their average a bit while they avoid getting swept.
• Finally, on lanes 5&6, 2nd-place Scootytang will chuck some balls with 4th-place Bowls Deep (hcp 100). Tang is predicted to roll decently and sweep the series; while Bowls are anticipated to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
