Last week we saw Larry, I'm On Ducktales leapfrog into first place. This week, a third of the way into the season, Ducktales has shown they have no intention of letting go of that spot as Aaron Barber earned this week's high game (225) and series (655) for the men and win the bowling trifecta. Meanwhile JoAnne Barber, as usual, picked up this week's high game (131) and series (380) for the woman. Read on for all the rest of the details!

As our league continued to play Musical Lanes this season, on lanes 21 & 22: Larry, I'm On Ducktales found that they have definitely been vaccinated against Gordon Michael's Groupies. Demonstrating the prowess of trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Aaron Barber and his above-average 655 series, Ducktales completely obliterated the Groupies. Matthew Taylor's slightly-off 561 came close a couple of times but us unable to prevent his team getting from swept. Larry, I'm On Ducktales remains in 1st place, while Groupies plunge 2 spots to 4th.

On the defective lanes 23 & 24: With the narrowest of handicaps (as in, zero), Gimme Some Of Your Totts celebrated Scoot's return from COVID by dropping three to Raining Chimps. In spite of the leadership of James Tott with his above-average 566 series, Gimme Totts accomplished only 1 win against Chimps. Simultaneously, AJ Hofmann with his better-than-normal 549 series worked better than flinging feces would have for the Chimps as his team took the match with 3 wins. Due more to attrition by other teams than anything they did themselves, Gimme Some Of Your Totts climbs 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while Chimps move up 1 spot to 5th.

Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: In the slowest matchup of the night by far, Name Coming, Curtis Said matched wits with Smokin Js. Showcasing Curtis Whiles with his 483 series, TBD split the series with Smokin. Jeremy Varnell with his better-than-normal 438 series shone in Smokin as they matched their opponent in wins. Name Coming, Curtis Said climbs 1 spot in the standings to 3rd place, while Smokin sinks 1 spot to 6th.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Aaron Barber dominated Division 1, while James Tott claimed victory in Division 2. In terms of overall points: Michael Gordon leads Division 1; and James Tott governs Division 2.

NEXT WEEK:

• First, on lanes 11&12, 5th-place Raining Chimps will match wits with 6th-place Smokin Js (hcp 71). Chimps are expected to perform well and sweep the series; while Smokin is forecast to raise their average even as they endure a rough night.
• Moving to lanes 13&14, 4th-place Gordon Michael's Groupies will battle 3rd-place Name Coming, Curtis Said (hcp 40). Groupies might have the bottom drop out of their averages as they get swept; while TBD ought to raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
• Finally, on lanes 15&16, 2nd-place Gimme Some Of Your Totts (hcp 46) will spend some quality time with 1st-place Larry, I'm On Ducktales. Gimme Totts are predicted to have a bit of an off night and lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Ducktales are anticipated to drop their average a bit even as they enjoy their victories.
