Thanksgiving is later this week and, in its own special way, the league gave thanks to the Bowling Gods by sacrificing many, many turkeys on the lanes in Week #14 action. After the feathers stopped flying, half of the league managed to change places in the standings with the top two teams remaining neck and neck with two weeks to go. The standings at the end of next week will determine the seeding in The Finals. After their dominating victory last week over their main competition, My Three Sons stared down opponents Pin and Tonics and came away with a hard fought 4-0 victory. While Game #2 was a walk in the park, Games #1 and #3 came down to the wire with the Son's Ian Goetz coming up big with his 688 series to lead the way. Aaron Barber's 588 series was the highest output for Pin and Tonics who, with the losses, slip one spot down into 7th place. My Three Sons improves their overall record to 38-18 and remains in 2nd place due to total pins. More than likely these guys will be looking to defend their title in The Finals after having emerged as champions last season. The last time 921+ showed up to face More Beer, Chelsea, the team simply did not fire on any cylinders and walked away having added no wins to their record. Tuesday night, however, was an exercise in revenge. With Brian Coe remaining super hot with his scores – he not only earned #1 Power Ranked bowler honors but is now closing in on Don Glasscock's record for being named the league's Best Bowler of All-Time – 921+ came away with a 4-0 sweep behind Coe's 725 series. Chelsea's anchor Eric Lynch had the highest output for his team, ending the night with a 557 series but couldn't quite manage to put the puzzle pieces together to earn a win over the re-energized 921+. The victors hold onto 1st with their 38-18 record and total pins tiebreaker while More Beer, Chelsea slips one spot down into 4th place. It's no secret that Dixie Stampede's anchor Ryan Doll is having his best season ever. Looking to be only the 8th bowler to end a season with a 200+ average, Doll's maintained his above-average streak by rolling a 625 series to lead his crew 3-1 over opponents Split It & Hit It. Game #2 proved to be the rain on Dixie's parade as Split It's Dennis Blake charged in to save the day with his 574 series to come away with their lone win of the night. Dixie remains in 5th place while trying to claw their way to a winning record (they are currently at 27-29) while Split It & Hit It, with their lone win, move up one spot into 6th place.Down on Lanes 47 & 48, what may have been the longest matchup in recorded league history took place...and we're not saying that alcohol had any influence on the delay, nope, none whatsoever. Regardless, The Finger Holes managed to walk away with four shiny new wins to add to their record and remain the only other team within striking distance of the top two teams in the standings currently. Despite a Game #1 scare, in which anchor Aubrey Moren's 584 series helped to not only secure the narrow victory but also this week's Most Valuable Bowler nod. After their 10th frame victory it was smooth sailing from then on as they put it to Ballz Out for the remainder of the night. The wins help The F-Holes to improve to 34-22 and move up one spot into 3rd while Ballz Out continues to sit in 8th place.Next week is the last time that bowlers can improve their placement within the Tournament of Champions so make it count. Here's how it's currently sitting:Division 1 = Ryan Doll (24), Ian Goetz (17)Division 2 = Aubrey Moren (25), Jonathan Vigliaturo (22)Division 3 = Rob Kaszuba (24), Michael Gordon (21)Division 4 = Jake Parrott (22), Dan Imperial (19)Bowlers in The 200 Club this week wondering if Brian will be able to topple Don after all is said and done include: Aaron Barber (247), AJ Hofmann (201), Aubrey Moren (200, 202), Brian Coe (222, 257, 246), Bryan Morh (204), Carl Goetz (216), Dennis Blake (213, 206), Ian Goetz (226, 256, 206), Ken M.
