With the Spring '14 position round behind us, the schedule reset and everyone faced their opposition from the very first night once again in Week #9. While the league leaders continue to distance themselves from the other seven teams on the roster, the overall output from the league as a whole is currently the third best in league history with a chance to be the best ever. In the first matchup of the evening, The Finger Holes looked to rebound after the beat down they took at the hands of the current league leaders. It appears they found just what they needed as they dished out their own destruction against opponents Twerking Balls. With anchor Aubrey Moren nearly shooting his all-time best series (he notched a 660) to lead the way, The F-Holes turned it on full force after a Game #1 victory sealed by a margin of only ten pins. Games #2 and #3 were blowouts en route to the sweep. Twerking's lead off bowler Jake Parrott led the way in the losing effort with his 470 series. With the wins, The Finger Holes remain in 3rd while Twerking Balls slips one spot down into 7th place. The last time Pinterest faced UpgrayeDD, they ended the night with a winning percentage of .750 with their 3-1 record. Fast forward through thirty-two more games and the Pins are currently rocking a .889 win percentage after yet another sweep. With Ian Goetz pulling off both Most Valuable Bowler and #1 Power Ranked bowler honors with his league-leading 684 series, Pinterest continues their run at the best win record of all-time. Rookie of the season candidate Josh Robison continues to put up the top series for UpgrayeDD, ending the night with a 456. Neither team move in the standings, with Pinterest a full eight games ahead of everyone in 1st while UpgrayeDD remains in 8th place.Down on lanes 45 & 46, Mark It Zero continued its long quest to end the season with a winning record by taking a 3-1 matchup victory over opponents Split It & Hit It. With league powerhouse Kody Karnes putting up a 616 series, Mark It bounced back after a big loss in Game #1 to handily take Games #2, #3, and total pins. Split It's Matt Bunyard continues to add to his best career season in the league, leading the team this week with a 457 series. Despite the wins, Mark It Zero moved zero spots in the standings while remaining in 5th while Split It & Hit It climbed one spot into 6th place. The final matchup of the evening pitted two veteran teams against one another in a true shootout. The first to strike was the Schwetty Balls who, for the second week in a row, was led by Scott "Scooter J" Murdock and his 567 series (simultaneously putting Angela Bradford and Bob Brunker's Hall of Fame status in jeopardy). Not to be outdone, Bowltron battled back to even the series at one game apiece thanks to Bill Krejci's team leading 660 series. Game #3 came down to the 10th frame and ended up being settled by a mere eight pins in favor of the Schwetty Balls but it wasn't enough to take total pins, which went to Bowltron. With the teams going 2-2 against one another, neither moves up nor down in the standings as Schwetty Balls clings to 2nd and Bowltron to 4th place. The Tournament of Champions breakdown goes like this:Division 1 = Ian Goetz (25), Seth Gunderson (9)Division 2 = Phil Schroeder (19), Scott Murdock (16)Division 3 = Teresa Deterding (12), Matt Bunyard (9)Division 4 = Michael Gordon (18), Michael Smith (13)Bowlers spending some well deserved time this week at The 200 Club include: Aubrey Moren (234, 200, 226), Bill Krejci (233, 235), Ian Goetz (258, 215, 211), Jonathan Vigliaturo (210), Ken M.
