The fourteenth week of Spring 2010 saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (242) and series (590) for the women, while Ryan Doll earned this week's high game (230) and series (618) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 25 & 26: Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz had a delightful time with Empire Strikes Back. Blessed by #1 Power-Ranked Angela Bradford and her stunning 590 series, the Schlitz celebrated a clean sweep over the Empire. As for the opposition, Ken M. Wilson laid down the law in the Empire with his 554 despite his team getting swept. Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz leaps 1 spot in the standings to 1st place, while the Empire sinks 1 spot to 2nd.
On lanes 27 & 28: Little Lebowski Urban Achievers matched wits with Lil' Devils. Despite being led by Mitch Kempker with his (either injured, sick, or sandbagging) 475 series, the Urban Achievers got swept by Lil' Devils. On the flipside, Andrea Caudillo reigned supreme in Lil' Devils with her above-average 432 as they swept the competition. Little Lebowski Urban Achievers remains in 8th place, while Lil' Devils remain in 4th.
On lanes 29 & 30: The Prak Attack did battle with Bowlumpkin. Even though highlighted by the skills of Bill Riley with his astonishing 401 series, the Attack accomplished only 1 win against Bowlumpkin. Across the ball return, Jason Carpio showed off in Bowlumpkin with his 553 as his team took the series with 3 wins. The Prak Attack drops 1 spot in the standings to 6th place, while Bowlumpkin moves 1 spot to 5th.
Finally, down on lanes 31 & 32: 3 Pin Moon accepted a challenge by No Pinheads. Featuring Ryan Doll with his above-average 618 series, 3 Pin Moon collected 3 wins against the Pinheads. Conversely, #1 Head-to-Head and Most Valuable Bowler Phil Schroeder took the lead in the Pinheads with his staggering 549 despite his team notching only a single win. 3 Pin Moon remains in 3rd place, while the Pinheads remain in 7th.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Dennis Laube crushed Division 1, while Adam Messner eradicated Division 2. Janelle (Laube) Lamar whipped Division 3, and Bill Riley conquered Division 4. In terms of overall points: Ken M. Wilson leads Division 1; Chris Lewis tops Division 2; Janelle (Laube) Lamar calls the shots for Division 3; and Lawrence Prak runs the show in Division 4.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 25&26, 6th-place The Prak Attack (hcp 141) will test their mettle against 3rd-place 3 Pin Moon. The Attack is expected to maintain their current strength as they get swept; while 3 Pin Moon is forecast to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
- Moving to lanes 27&28, 7th-place No Pinheads will roll against 5th-place Bowlumpkin (hcp 100). The Pinheads might maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while Bowlumpkin ought to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
- Then, over on lanes 29&30, 8th-place Little Lebowski Urban Achievers (hcp 172) will compete against 2nd-place Empire Strikes Back. The Urban Achievers will likely roll decently, yet still manage to get swept; while the Empire will probably drop their average a bit even as they rack up a sweep.
- Finally, on lanes 31&32, 1st-place Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz will share a couple of pitchers with 4th-place Lil' Devils (hcp 95). The Schlitz is predicted to roll a little low, but split the series with Lil' Devils; while Lil' Devils are anticipated to hold steady as they keep the series tied.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
