The tenth week of Spring 2010 saw two teams climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler roll a new personal best game. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (182) and series (505) for the women. As for the men, Ken M. Wilson snagged this week's high game with a 248, and high series was earned by Carl Goetz with a 619. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 25 & 26: 3 Pin Moon faced off against Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz. In spite of top-billing by Ryan Doll with his above-average 593 series, 3 Pin Moon got swept by the Schlitz. Simultaneously, Bob Brunker laid down the law in the Schlitz with his below-average 509 as they swept the competition. 3 Pin Moon plummets 2 spots in the standings to 3rd place, while the Schlitz moves 1 spot to 1st.
On lanes 27 & 28: Empire Strikes Back accepted a challenge by No Pinheads. Demonstrating the prowess of #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Carl Goetz and his above-average 619 series, the Empire celebrated a clean sweep over the Pinheads. On the adjacent lane, Phil Schroeder reigned supreme in the Pinheads with his 474 despite his team getting swept. Empire Strikes Back leaps 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while the Pinheads remain in 4th.
On lanes 29 & 30: Bowlumpkin traded lane malfunctions with Lil' Devils. Topped by Orion Kinkaid with his 409 series, Bowlumpkin split the series with Lil' Devils. In the midst of this, Janelle (Laube) Lamar called the shots for Lil' Devils with her 402 as they matched their opponent in wins. Bowlumpkin remains in 5th place, while Lil' Devils remain in 6th.
Finally, down on lanes 31 & 32: Little Lebowski Urban Achievers entered a showdown to the death with The Prak Attack. Although blessed by Jason Carpio with his 527 series, the Urban Achievers accomplished only 1 win against the Attack. As for the opposition, Shane Pfaffly guided the Attack with his below-average 399 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Lawrence Prak) as his team took the series with 3 wins. Little Lebowski Urban Achievers remains in 8th place, while the Attack remains in 7th.

A new personal high game was set tonight by Sarah Sauer (175, previous best 174).
In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Ryan Doll claimed victory in Division 1, while Rob Kaszuba routed Division 2. Shane Pfaffly ruled Division 3, and Lawrence Prak got the better of Division 4. In terms of overall points: Bob Brunker leads Division 1; Brett Schroeder runs the show in Division 2; Shane Pfaffly calls the shots for Division 3; and Lawrence Prak governs Division 4.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 25&26, 6th-place Lil' Devils (hcp 125) will match wits with 4th-place No Pinheads. Lil' Devils are expected to maintain their current strength as they get swept; while the Pinheads are forecast to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
- Moving to lanes 27&28, 3rd-place 3 Pin Moon will chill with 8th-place Little Lebowski Urban Achievers (hcp 153). 3 Pin Moon might roll a little low, yet still manage to win the series; while the Urban Achievers ought to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
- Then, over on lanes 29&30, 2nd-place Empire Strikes Back will hang out with 7th-place The Prak Attack (hcp 179). The Empire will likely maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while the Attack will probably hold steady as they endure a rough night.
- Finally, on lanes 31&32, 5th-place Bowlumpkin (hcp 76) will socialize with 1st-place Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz. Bowlumpkin is predicted to perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Schlitz is anticipated to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
