The Spring 2010 position round is now history, and and the championship will be on us before we know it! The eighth week saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Janelle (Laube) Lamar landed this week's high game for the women with a 172, and women's high series was bagged by Angela Bradford with a 474. As for the men, Ryan Doll snagged this week's high game with a 220, and high series was earned by Ian Goetz with a 600. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 25 & 26: No Pinheads alternated splits with 3 Pin Moon. In spite of top-billing by Dennis Laube with his 508 series, the Pinheads got swept by 3 Pin Moon. On the flipside, Ryan Doll ruled 3 Pin Moon with his 562 as they swept the competition. No Pinheads drop 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while 3 Pin Moon moves 1 spot to 1st.
On lanes 27 & 28: Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz couldn't stop inappropriately groping Empire Strikes Back. With the strength of Bob Brunker with his 559 series, the Schlitz split the series with the Empire. While that was going down, trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Ian Goetz laid down the law in the Empire with his above-average 600 as they matched their opponent in wins. Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz remains in 3rd place, while the Empire remains in 4th.
On lanes 29 & 30: The Prak Attack waged a heated competition against Bowlumpkin. Though reinforced by Shane Pfaffly with his above-average 457 series, the Attack accomplished only 1 win against Bowlumpkin. As for the opposition, Dave Winger took the lead in Bowlumpkin with his above-average 445 as his team took the series with 3 wins. The Prak Attack plummets 2 spots in the standings to 7th place, while Bowlumpkin remains in 6th.
Finally, down on lanes 31 & 32: Lil' Devils sparred with Little Lebowski Urban Achievers. Featuring Janelle (Laube) Lamar with her breathtaking 462 series, Lil' Devils celebrated a clean sweep over the Urban Achievers. In the midst of this, Greg Shelton dominated the Urban Achievers with his above-average 411 despite his team getting swept. Lil' Devils leap 2 spots in the standings to 5th place, while the Urban Achievers remain in 8th.
Bowlers who stripped naked and shared a cozy hottub together in a back room at The 200 Club include: Bob Brunker (200), Ian Goetz (201,200), and Ryan Doll (220)
A new personal high game was set tonight by AJ Taylor (178, previous best 171). In addition, new personal best series were rolled by Amy Goodnow (412, previous best 394) and Tiffany Schmidt (387, previous best 380).
In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Dennis Laube topped Division 1, while Brett Schroeder won Division 2. Shane Pfaffly made quick work of Division 3, and Tiffany Schmidt vanquished Division 4. In terms of overall points: Bob Brunker tops Division 1; Brett Schroeder runs the show in Division 2; Greg Shelton leads Division 3; and Lawrence Prak dominates Division 4.

- First, on lanes 25&26, 6th-place Bowlumpkin will challenge 8th-place Little Lebowski Urban Achievers (hcp 34). Bowlumpkin is expected to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Urban Achievers are forecast to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
- Moving to lanes 27&28, 5th-place Lil' Devils will tussle with 7th-place The Prak Attack (hcp 20). Lil' Devils might perform well and sweep the series; while the Attack ought to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
- Then, over on lanes 29&30, 2nd-place No Pinheads will face 3rd-place Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz (hcp 38). The Pinheads will likely maintain their current strength as they just barely lose the series; while the Schlitz will probably raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
- Finally, on lanes 31&32, 4th-place Empire Strikes Back will throw some gutter balls with 1st-place 3 Pin Moon (hcp 17). The Empire is predicted to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while 3 Pin Moon is anticipated to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
