The Spring 2010 season is now underway, with eight teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. One bowler set a new personal best series. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (198) and series (538) for the women. As for the men, Ken M. Wilson snagged this week's high game with a 224, and high series was earned by Mitch Kempker with a 616. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 25 & 26: Empire Strikes Back chucked gutter balls with 3 Pin Moon. While headlined by Ken M. Wilson with his 586 series, the Empire accomplished only 1 win against 3 Pin Moon. Countering this, Ryan Doll took the lead in 3 Pin Moon with his 589 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Empire Strikes Back begins with 6th place, while 3 Pin Moon starts off with 1st.
On lanes 27 & 28: No Pinheads accepted a challenge by Scoot Gave Us The Schlitz. Demonstrating the prowess of Aubrey Moren with his 549 series, the Pinheads split the series with the Schlitz. Simultaneously, Angela Bradford reigned supreme in the Schlitz with her 538 as they matched their opponent in wins. No Pinheads gets underway in 4th place, while the Schlitz gets rolling in 5th.
On lanes 29 & 30: Bowlumpkin had some one-on-one time with Little Lebowski Urban Achievers. Although blessed by Rich Foster with his astounding 519 series, Bowlumpkin accomplished only 1 win against the Urban Achievers. In the meantime, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Mitch Kempker dominated the Urban Achievers with his 616 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Bowlumpkin leaves the gate in 7th place, while the Urban Achievers get going with 2nd.
Finally, down on lanes 31 & 32: Lil' Devils took turns kicking the ball return with The Prak Attack. With the strength of Janelle (Laube) Lamar with her 390 series, Lil' Devils collected 3 wins against the Attack. On the flipside, Joe Longstreet called the shots for the Attack with his 365 despite his team notching only a single win. Lil' Devils starts out in 3rd place, while the Attack commences the season with 8th.
