We are now halfway through the Fall 2009 season, so time is running out for those teams who want a shot at the championship to position themselves. The eighth week saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Andee Weinfurt picked up this week's high game (171) and series (423) for the women. As for the men, David Codding and Ryan Doll both tied for this week's high game with a 244, and high series was earned by Ryan Doll with a 654. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 19 & 20: No Pinheads matched wits with BOWLSH!T. Blessed by Corey Weinfurt with his 519 series, No Pinheads split the series with BOWLSH!T. Concurrently, Kelly Sands reigned supreme in BOWLSH!T with his dramatic 488 as they matched their opponent in wins. No Pinheads remains in 2nd place, while BOWLSH!T remains in 8th.
On lanes 21 & 22: Quick Release faced off against BILFs. Starring #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Ryan Doll and his amazing 654 series, Quick Release collected 3 wins against BILFs. On the adjacent lane, Derrick Grimpo called the shots for BILFs with his miraculous 454 despite his team notching only a single win. Quick Release remains in 3rd place, while BILFs remain in 4th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Chicks With Balls traded lane malfunctions with Rollin' J's. Though reinforced by Andrea Caudillo with her below-average 406 series, the Chicks managed only 1.5 wins against Rollin' J's. As for the opposition, David Parre showed off in Rollin' J's with his above-average 554 as his team took the series with 2.5 wins. Chicks With Balls remains in 9th place, while Rollin' J's remain in 7th.
On lanes 25 & 26: Sweep The Leg, Johnny waged a heated competition against Split Happens. Featuring David Codding with his above-average 651 series, Sweep The Leg celebrated a clean sweep over Split Happens. In the meantime, Ryan Simonet laid down the law in Split Happens with his 434 despite his team getting swept. Sweep The Leg, Johnny remains in 1st place, while Split Happens remain in 10th.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Ebowla spent a romantic evening with WWJB. Despite the strength of Zach Frank with his splendid 456 series, Ebowla accomplished only 1 win against WWJB. In the midst of this, Most Valuable Bowler Eric Summers oversaw WWJB with his phenomenal 437 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Ebowla drops 1 spot in the standings to 6th place, while WWJB moves 1 spot to 5th.

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Eric Summers (437, previous best 410).
In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Nobody claimed victory in Division 1 (though Ken M. Wilson came closest), while Phil Schroeder spanked Division 2. Zach Frank got the better of Division 3, and nobody claimed victory in Division 4 (though Amanda Duncan came closest). Finally, Andee Weinfurt (Division 3) creamed this week's Interdivisional bracket. In terms of overall points: Ken M. Wilson holds the reins in Division 1; Aubrey Moren governs Division 2; AJ Hofmann is in the driver's seat in Division 3; and Amanda Duncan calls the shots for Division 4.

- Finally, on lanes 27&28, 2nd-place No Pinheads will roll against 9th-place Chicks With Balls (hcp 147). No Pinheads are predicted to perform well and sweep the series; while the Chicks are anticipated to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
