Fall 2009 Week 8 Robo-RecapWe are now halfway through the Fall 2009 season, so time is running out for those teams who want a shot at the championship to position themselves. The eighth week saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Andee Weinfurt picked up this week's high game (171) and series (423) for the women. As for the men, David Codding and Ryan Doll both tied for this week's high game with a 244, and high series was earned by Ryan Doll with a 654. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: No Pinheads entered a showdown to the death with BOWLSH!T. With the strength of Corey Weinfurt with his 519 series, No Pinheads split the series with BOWLSH!T. On the other half of the score sheet, Kelly Sands laid down the law in BOWLSH!T with his marvelous 488 as they matched their opponent in wins. No Pinheads remains in 2nd place, while BOWLSH!T remains in 8th.

week8On lanes 21 & 22: Quick Release matched wits with BILFs. Led by #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Ryan Doll and his awe-inspiring 654 series, Quick Release collected 3 wins against BILFs. While that was going down, Derrick Grimpo ruled BILFs with his commanding 454 despite his team notching only a single win. Quick Release remains in 3rd place, while BILFs remain in 4th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Chicks With Balls spent some quality time with Rollin' J's. While headlined by Andrea Caudillo with her below-average 406 series, the Chicks managed only 1.5 wins against Rollin' J's. Conversely, David Parre dominated Rollin' J's with his above-average 554 as his team took the series with 2.5 wins. Chicks With Balls remains in 9th place, while Rollin' J's remain in 7th.

On lanes 25 & 26: Sweep The Leg, Johnny kept grabbing the balls of Split Happens. Demonstrating the prowess of David Codding with his above-average 651 series, Sweep The Leg celebrated a clean sweep over Split Happens. Simultaneously, Ryan Simonet showed off in Split Happens with his 434 despite his team getting swept. Sweep The Leg, Johnny remains in 1st place, while Split Happens remain in 10th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Ebowla traded lane malfunctions with WWJB. Notwithstanding the leadership of Zach Frank with his dazzling 456 series, Ebowla accomplished only 1 win against WWJB. In the midst of this, Most Valuable Bowler Eric Summers called the shots for WWJB with his fantastic 437 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Ebowla drops 1 spot in the standings to 6th place, while WWJB moves 1 spot to 5th.

Bowlers who stripped naked and shared a cozy hottub together in a back room at The 200 Club include: David Codding (227,244), David Parre (213), Ken M. Wilson (231,210), and Ryan Doll (244,225)

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Eric Summers (437, previous best 410).

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Nobody claimed victory in Division 1 (though Ken M. Wilson came closest), while Phil Schroeder triumphed over his enemies in Division 2. Zach Frank whipped Division 3, and nobody claimed victory in Division 4 (though Amanda Duncan came closest). Finally, Andee Weinfurt (Division 3) spanked this week's Interdivisional bracket. In terms of overall points: Ken M. Wilson dominates Division 1; Aubrey Moren governs Division 2; AJ Hofmann runs the show in Division 3; and Amanda Duncan is in the driver's seat in Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 19&20, 3rd-place Quick Release will face 7th-place Rollin' J's (hcp 160). Quick Release is expected to maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while Rollin' J's are forecast to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 1st-place Sweep The Leg, Johnny will tussle with 5th-place WWJB (hcp 184). Sweep The Leg might perform well and sweep the series; while WWJB ought to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 8th-place BOWLSH!T (hcp 12) will throw some gutter balls with 10th-place Split Happens. BOWLSH!T will likely maintain their current strength as they and split the series with Split Happens; while Split Happens will probably hold steady as they keep the series tied.
  • Next up, on lanes 25&26, 4th-place BILFs (hcp 6) will challenge 6th-place Ebowla. BILFs might perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Ebowla ought to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
  • Finally, on lanes 27&28, 2nd-place No Pinheads will roll against 9th-place Chicks With Balls (hcp 147). No Pinheads are predicted to perform well and sweep the series; while the Chicks are anticipated to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
