Fall 2009 Week 4 Robo-RecapThe fourth week of Fall 2009 saw four teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. One bowler roll a new personal best game. Andrea Caudillo picked up this week's high game (196) and series (498) for the women. As for the men, John Boren snagged this week's high game with a 247, and high series was earned by Pat Searcy with a 677. Meanwhile, the Tournament of Champions also kicked off tonight, beginning of 13 weeks of one-on-one bowling excitement! Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: BOWLSH!T shared a few beers with BILFs. In spite of top-billing by Travis Kleiner with his 443 series, BOWLSH!T accomplished only 1 win against BILFs. On the other half of the score sheet, Scott Murdock laid down the law in BILFs with his 488 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Derrick Grimpo) as his team took the series with 3 wins. BOWLSH!T leaps 1 spot in the standings to 9th place, while BILFs move 1 spot to 6th.

week4On lanes 21 & 22: WWJB spent a romantic evening with No Pinheads. Despite being led by Rich Foster with his below-average 411 series, WWJB got swept by No Pinheads. Countering this, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Pat Searcy ruled No Pinheads with his staggering 677 as they swept the competition. WWJB plummets 2 spots in the standings to 5th place, while No Pinheads move 1 spot to 3rd.

On lanes 23 & 24: Split Happens hung out with Ebowla. Though featuring James Long with his 517 series, Split Happens got swept by Ebowla. Meanwhile, Jason Carpio showed off in Ebowla with his dramatic 605 as they swept the competition. Split Happens drop 1 spot in the standings to 10th place, while Ebowla moves 1 spot to 4th.

On lanes 25 & 26: Quick Release waged a heated competition against Chicks With Balls. Blessed by Ryan Doll with his 578 series, Quick Release collected 3 wins against the Chicks. On the adjacent lane, Andrea Caudillo reigned supreme in the Chicks with her above-average 498 despite her team notching only a single win. Quick Release remains in 2nd place, while the Chicks sink 1 spot to 7th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Rollin' J's spent some quality time with Sweep The Leg, Johnny. Despite the strength of Jerry Krall with his 383 series, Rollin' J's accomplished only 1 win against Sweep The Leg. Conversely, David Codding took the lead in Sweep The Leg with his 565 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Rollin' J's remains in 8th place, while Sweep The Leg remains in 1st.

A new personal high game was set tonight by Andrea Caudillo (196, previous best 183).

Andrea Caudillo earned this season's women's high game with her 196 In addition,, while Pat Searcy bagged the season's men's high series with his 677.


In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Pat Searcy eradicated Division 1, while Aubrey Moren whipped Division 2. Ryan Simonet made quick work of Division 3, and Amanda Duncan mopped up Division 4. Finally, Derrick Grimpo (Division 4) ruled this week's Interdivisional bracket. In terms of overall points: Pat Searcy dominates Division 1; Aubrey Moren reigns over Division 2; Ryan Simonet runs the show in Division 3; and Derrick Grimpo and Amanda Duncan govern Division 4 in a tie.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 19&20, 8th-place Rollin' J's (hcp 64) will challenge 4th-place Ebowla. Rollin' J's are expected to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Ebowla is forecast to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 7th-place Chicks With Balls (hcp 196) will tussle with 1st-place Sweep The Leg, Johnny. The Chicks might perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Sweep The Leg ought to drop their average a bit even as they enjoy their victories.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 2nd-place Quick Release (hcp 4) will share a couple of pitchers with 3rd-place No Pinheads. Quick Release will likely maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while No Pinheads will probably hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
  • Next up, on lanes 25&26, 10th-place Split Happens will match wits with 6th-place BILFs (hcp 8). Split Happens might maintain their current strength as they get swept; while BILFs ought to raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
  • Finally, on lanes 27&28, 5th-place WWJB will face 9th-place BOWLSH!T (hcp 28). WWJB is predicted to maintain their current strength as they and split the series with BOWLSH!T; while BOWLSH!T is anticipated to hold steady as they keep the series tied.
