The Spring 2009 season draws to a close, with Schlitz For Us, Splits For You officially earning this season's championship title! The final week saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (192) and series (499) for the women, while Cory Chorpenning earned this week's high game (226) and series (570) for the men. First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Schlitz For Us, Splits For You couldn't stop inappropriately groping Chico's Bail Bonds. Headlined by Bob Brunker with his 512 series, Schlitz collected 3 wins against Chico's. Conversely, Ken M. Wilson dominated Chico's with his 531 despite his team notching only a single win. Schlitz For Us, Splits For You end in 1st place, while Chico's wind up in 2nd.
On lanes 21 & 22: Rule 6B shared a platter of cheese sticks with No Pinheads. In spite of top-billing by Ryan Doll with his 490 series, with props to #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Phil Schroeder, Rule 6B accomplished only 1 win against No Pinheads. Countering this, Most Valuable Bowler Phil Schroeder ruled No Pinheads with his above-average 531 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Rule 6B complete in 3rd place, while No Pinheads go home with 4th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Sh!t, Another Season alternated splits with WWJB. Starring Cory Chorpenning with his 570 series, Another Season collected 3 wins against WWJB. Simultaneously, Rich Foster guided WWJB with his phenomenal 489 despite his team notching only a single win. Sh!t, Another Season finish in 5th place, while WWJB come out in 6th.
On lanes 25 & 26: Turkey Sandwich hung out with Chicks With Balls. Featuring Zach Frank with his 424 series, Turkey Sandwich collected 3 wins against the Chicks. In the meantime, Kelly Minihan reigned supreme in the Chicks with her miraculous 435 despite her team notching only a single win. Turkey Sandwich close out in 7th place, while the Chicks cros the finish line in 8th.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends shared a few beers with XXX. Notwithstanding the leadership of Drew Eldridge with his above-average 440 series, Wonder Friends accomplished only 1 win against XXX. In the midst of this, Rich DeYoung called the shots for XXX with his 488 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends drop 1 spot in the standings to 10th place, while XXX moves 1 spot to 9th.

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Ben Wetteborn (487, previous best 450).
After a hard fought season, the Tournament of Champions was won tonight by Phil Schroeder (Division 2), with landing in second place. Phil will pocket the nice first-place pot, while will take away the second-place pot. Congratulations!
