First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Chicks With Balls shared a few beers with Chico's Bail Bonds. In spite of top-billing by Janelle (Laube) Lamar with her above-average 439 series, the Chicks got swept by Chico's. Conversely, #1 Head-to-Head Ken M. On lanes 21 & 22: XXX accepted a challenge by Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends. Led by Tiffany Schmidt with her 320 series, XXX split the series with Wonder Friends. On lanes 23 & 24: Sh!t, Another Season alternated splits with No Pinheads. Starring Duncan Ferber with his 559 series, Another Season collected 3 wins against No Pinheads. On the other side, Phil Schroeder called the shots for No Pinheads with his 476 despite his team notching only a single win. On lanes 25 & 26: Turkey Sandwich took turns kicking the ball return with Schlitz For Us, Splits For You. While headlined by Jason Carpio with his below-average 485 series, Turkey Sandwich got swept by Schlitz. In the midst of this, Scott Murdock, Bob Brunker shined in Schlitz with their 493 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Scott Murdock) as they swept the competition. Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: WWJB did battle with Rule 6B. With the strength of #1 Power-Ranked Rich Foster and his powerful 500 series, WWJB collected 3 wins against Rule 6B. On the flipside, Ryan Doll took the lead in Rule 6B with his 502 despite his team notching only a single win. WWJB leaps 1 spot in the standings to 7th place, while Rule 6B sinks 1 spot to 3rd.

We are now halfway through the Spring 2009 season, so time is running out for those teams who want a shot at the championship to position themselves. The eighth week saw three teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series, and two rolled new personal high games. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (202) and series (528) for the women, while Zach Frank earned this week's high game (213) and series (593) for the men. Concurrently, Aubrey Moren laid down the law in No Pinheads with his 519 despite his team notching only a single win. WWJB leaps 1 spot in the standings to 9th place, while No Pinheads plunge 2 spots to 4th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Turkey Sandwich accepted a challenge by XXX. Highlighting the skills of #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Zach Frank and his spectacular 593 series, Turkey Sandwich collected 3 wins against XXX. Simultaneously, Rich DeYoung took the lead in XXX with his above-average 517 despite his team notching only a single win. Turkey Sandwich remains in 7th place, while XXX sinks 1 spot to 10th.

On lanes 25 & 26: Sh!t, Another Season shared a few beers with Chicks With Balls. Topped by Duncan Ferber with his above-average 567 series, Another Season collected 3 wins against the Chicks. On the other half of the score sheet, Janelle (Laube) Lamar mastered the Chicks with her 413 despite her team notching only a single win. Sh!t, Another Season leaps 1 spot in the standings to 5th place, while the Chicks sink 1 spot to 6th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Rule 6B spent some quality time with Schlitz For Us, Splits For You. Blessed by Adam Messner with his amazing 539 series, Rule 6B split the series with Schlitz. Across the ball return, Angela Bradford guided Schlitz with her above-average 528 as they matched their opponent in wins. Rule 6B remains in 3rd place, while Schlitz remains in 1st.

A stagnated seventh week of Spring 2009 resulted in absolutely no movement in the standings. On lanes 23 & 24: No Pinheads spent some quality time with Schlitz For Us, Splits For You. Blessed by Pat Searcy with his spectacular 662 series, No Pinheads collected 3 wins against Schlitz. Countering this, Bob Brunker guided Schlitz with his 548 despite his team notching only a single win. No Pinheads remains in 2nd place, while Schlitz remains in 1st.

On lanes 25 & 26: XXX traded lane malfunctions with Chico's Bail Bonds. In spite of the prowess of Rich DeYoung with his above-average 518 series, XXX accomplished only 1 win against Chico's.
