Posted by BowlingBot On January - 27 - 2009ADD COMMENTS

Spring 2009 Week 2 Robo-RecapThe second week of Spring 2009 saw three teams climb in the standings, while four teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (183) and series (467) for the women, while Cory Chorpenning earned this week's high game (239) and series (612) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Rule 6B deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of Chico's Bail Bonds. Highlighting the skills of Ryan Doll with his 505 series, Rule 6B split the series with Chico's. While that was going down, #1 Head-to-Head and Most Valuable Bowler David Codding laid down the law in Chico's with his above-average 594 as they matched their opponent in wins. Rule 6B drops 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while Chico's remain in 2nd.

week2On lanes 21 & 22: No Pinheads spent some quality time with Turkey Sandwich. Led by Aubrey Moren with his spectacular 585 series, No Pinheads celebrated a clean sweep over Turkey Sandwich. In the midst of this, Brian Kille drew the spotlight in Turkey Sandwich with his 364 despite his team getting swept. No Pinheads leap 5 spots in the standings to 3rd place, while Turkey Sandwich plunges 5 spots to 9th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Sh!t, Another Season had a rendezvous with Capt. Awesome & Wonder Friends. Notwithstanding the leadership of Cory Chorpenning with his below-average 612 series, Another Season got swept by Wonder Friends. Meanwhile, Amanda Zahnweh showed off in Wonder Friends with her fantastic 400 as they swept the competition. Sh!t, Another Season plummets 6 spots in the standings to 7th place, while Wonder Friends jump 6 spots to 1st.

On lanes 25 & 26: Schlitz For Us, Splits For You celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with XXX. Featuring Bob Brunker with his 471 series, Schlitz collected 3 wins against XXX. On the other side, Tiffany Schmidt took the lead in XXX with her 298 despite her team notching only a single win. Schlitz For Us, Splits For You remains in 5th place, while XXX plunges 2 spots to 8th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: WWJB kept grabbing the balls of Chicks With Balls. Although blessed by Dave Winger with his (either injured, sick, or sandbagging) 390 series, with a nod to #1 Power-Ranked Eric Summers, WWJB accomplished only 1 win against the Chicks. On the other half of the score sheet, Janelle (Laube) Lamar reigned supreme in the Chicks with her above-average 432 as her team took the series with 3 wins. WWJB remains in 10th place, while the Chicks jump 3 spots to 6th.

Bowlers entering The 200 Club include: Aubrey Moren (211,206), Cory Chorpenning (239,213), and David Codding (202,201)
