The Fall 2008 position round is now history, and and the championship will be on us before we know it! The tenth week saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (192) and series (560) for the women, while Ryan Doll earned this week's high game (266) and series (660) for the men. First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Ain't No Sh!t matched wits with Chico's Bail Bonds. Though featuring Kendall Kukowski with his 574 series, Ain't No Sh!t got swept by Chico's. As for the opposition, Carl Goetz called the shots for Chico's with his above-average 569 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Jennifer Seefeldt) as they swept the competition. Ain't No Sh!t remains in 1st place, while Chico's remain in 2nd.
On lanes 21 & 22: Dios Mios took turns kicking the ball return with Bowl Movement. Starring Bill Krejci with his 517 series, with props to #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Jennifer Seefeldt, Dios Mios collected 3 wins against Bowl Movement. Meanwhile, Travis Kleiner showed off in Bowl Movement with his above-average 486 despite his team notching only a single win. Dios Mios remains in 3rd place, while Bowl Movement plunges 2 spots to 6th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty traded lane malfunctions with Bad Newz Kennels. Notwithstanding the leadership of Will Jeter with his above-average 512 series, Spare The Rod got swept by the Kennels. Concurrently, Freda Schroeder mastered the Kennels with her outstanding 560 as they swept the competition. Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty plummets 2 spots in the standings to 7th place, while the Kennels jump 2 spots to 4th.
On lanes 25 & 26: Is This Billable? had some one-on-one time with Livin' On A Spare. Headlined by Ryan Doll with his spectacular 660 series, Is This Billable? celebrated a clean sweep over Livin' On A Spare. On the flipside, Tom Finley ruled Livin' On A Spare with his above-average 414 despite his team getting swept. Is This Billable? leaps 2 spots in the standings to 5th place, while Livin' On A Spare remains in 8th.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Dave and the Wingers chucked gutter balls with WWJB. With top billing by Rob Kaszuba with his below-average 391 series, the Wingers collected 3 wins against WWJB. Across the ball return, Justin Wehrman drew the spotlight in WWJB with his below-average 374 despite his team notching only a single win. Dave and the Wingers remains in 9th place, while WWJB remains in 10th.

A new personal high game was set tonight by John Keck (175, previous best 156). In addition, new personal best series were rolled by Ryan Doll (660, previous best 647) and John Keck (506, previous best 429).
Freda Schroeder claimed the season's women's high series with her 560. In addition, Ryan Doll nabbed this season's men's high game with his 266.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Carl Goetz mopped up Division 1, while Freda Schroeder shut down Division 2. John Keck conquered Division 3, and Lindsay Jamis got the better of Division 4. And, finally, nobody claimed victory in the Interdivisional bracket (though Aubrey Moren (Division ) came closest). In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz runs the show in Division 1; Aubrey Moren dominates Division 2; Travis Kleiner tops Division 3; and Lindsay Jamis holds the reins in Division 4.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 19&20, 7th-place Spare The Rod, Split The Kitty (hcp 83) will chuck some balls with 2nd-place Chico's Bail Bonds. Spare The Rod is expected to perform well, yet still manage to get swept; while Chico's are forecast to raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
- Moving to lanes 21&22, 6th-place Bowl Movement will challenge 9th-place Dave and the Wingers (hcp 11). Bowl Movement might perform well and win the series; while the Wingers ought to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
