The Spring 2008 season is now underway, with ten teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and two rolled new personal high games. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (222) and series (505) for the women, while Duncan Ferber earned this week's high game (277) and series (616) for the men. First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Ebowla shared a few beers with Sofa King Good. Regardless of the star power of Chris Lewis with his 443 series, Ebowla accomplished only 1 win against Sofa King. Simultaneously, #1 Power-Ranked Bill Krejci guided Dios Mios with his 605 despite his team notching only a single win. You Don't Know Sh!t starts out in 1st place, while Dios Mios start off with 6th.
On lanes 23 & 24: It's Britney, Bitch alternated between bowling and dry humping 3 Dudes and a Doll. In spite of the prowess of Dave Winger with his 454 series, Britney accomplished only 1 win against 3 Dudes and a Doll. In the meantime, Ryan Doll ruled 3 Dudes and a Doll with his 576 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler John Richardson) as his team took the series with 3 wins. It's Britney, Bitch leaves the gate in 10th place, while 3 Dudes and a Doll gets going with 4th.
On lanes 25 & 26: Split Happens waged a heated competition against Bad Newz Kennels. Although topped by Ryan Schooley with his 450 series, Split Happens accomplished only 1 win against the Kennels. On the other half of the score sheet, Freda Schroeder showed off in the Kennels with her 505 as her team took the series with 3 wins. Split Happens gets underway in 7th place, while the Kennels commence the season with 3rd.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Dr. Strangelanes, Or How I Learned To Stop Opening And Earn The Belt entered a showdown to the death with ?. With the strength of Nik Domann with his 493 series, Dr. Strangelanes collected 3 wins against ?. In the midst of this, John Coleman oversaw ? with his (either injured, sick, or sandbagging) 462 despite his team notching only a single win. Dr. Strangelanes, Or How I Learned To Stop Opening And Earn The Belt 5th place, while ? 9th.
