The Spring 2008 season is now underway, with ten teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and two rolled new personal high games. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (222) and series (505) for the women, while Duncan Ferber earned this week's high game (277) and series (616) for the men. First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Ebowla accepted a challenge by Sofa King Good. Although topped by Chris Lewis with his 443 series, Ebowla accomplished only 1 win against Sofa King. On the flipside, Don Glasscock guided Sofa King with his 604 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Ebowla leaves the gate in 8th place, while Sofa King gets going with 2nd.

Blessed by Duncan Ferber with his 616 series, with props to #1 Head-to-Head bowler , Don't Know Sh!t collected 3 wins against Dios Mios. Across the ball return, #1 Power-Ranked Bill Krejci laid down the law in Dios Mios with his 605 despite his team notching only a single win. You Don't Know Sh!t begins the season in 1st place, while Dios Mios start off with 6th.
On lanes 23 & 24: It's Britney, Bitch spent some quality time with 3 Dudes and a Doll. Even though highlighted by the skills of Dave Winger with his 454 series, Britney accomplished only 1 win against 3 Dudes and a Doll. Concurrently, Ryan Doll ruled 3 Dudes and a Doll with his 576 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler John Richardson) as his team took the series with 3 wins. It's Britney, Bitch begins with 10th place, while 3 Dudes and a Doll begins in 4th.
On lanes 25 & 26: Split Happens deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of Bad Newz Kennels. Though reinforced by Ryan Schooley with his 450 series, Split Happens accomplished only 1 win against the Kennels. On the adjacent lane, Freda Schroeder oversaw the Kennels with her 505 as her team took the series with 3 wins. Split Happens starts out in 7th place, while the Kennels commence the season with 3rd.
Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Dr. Strangelanes, Or How I Learned To Stop Opening And Earn The Belt couldn't stop undressing with their eyes the members of ?. Featuring Nik Domann with his 493 series, Dr. Strangelanes collected 3 wins against ?. As for the opposition, John Coleman drew the spotlight in ? with his (either injured, sick, or sandbagging) 462 despite his team notching only a single win.
