The fourteenth week of Fall 2007 saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Jennifer Seefeldt picked up this week's high game (183) and series (498) for the women. As for the men, Jason Carpio snagged this week's high game with a 223, and high series was earned by Ryan Doll with a 595. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 17 & 18: Bad Newz Kennels deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of Sh!t, I Don't Know. Regardless of the star power of Dennis Laube with his astonishing 546 series, the Kennels accomplished only 1 win against I Don't Know. While that was going down, Cory Chorpenning oversaw I Don't Know with his 593 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Bad Newz Kennels drop 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while I Don't Know moves 1 spot to 1st.
On lanes 19 & 20: Seriously Handicapped hung out with Dios Mios. Showcasing Tyler Hilker with his 505 series, the Handicapped collected 3 wins against Dios Mios. Countering this, #1 Power-Ranked Dave Winger ruled Dios Mios with his outstanding 488 despite his team notching only a single win. Seriously Handicapped remains in 10th place, while Dios Mios remain in 3rd.
On lanes 21 & 22: Seefeldt the Glasscock had some one-on-one time with Your Mom. Though featuring Ken M. Wilson with his 524 series, the Glasscock accomplished only 1 win against Your Mom. Concurrently, #1 Head-to-Head Ryan Doll shined in Your Mom with his above-average 595 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Seefeldt the Glasscock remains in 4th place, while Your Mom moves 1 spot to 8th.
On lanes 23 & 24: The GameCox couldn't stop inappropriately groping Cannonbelt Run. Topped by Jason Carpio with his powerful 588 series, the GameCox split the series with Cannonbelt. Across the ball return, Nik Domann reigned supreme in Cannonbelt with his 488 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Shaun Crockett) as they matched their opponent in wins. The GameCox drops 1 spot in the standings to 9th place, while Cannonbelt remains in 5th.
Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: Ebowla kept stealing sips of beer from Split Happens. In spite of top-billing by Travis Kleiner with his 410 series, Ebowla accomplished only 1 win against Split Happens. Simultaneously, Nick Allegri commanded Split Happens with his below-average 424 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Ebowla remains in 7th place, while Split Happens remain in 6th.
Bowlers slipping into The 200 Club include: Cory Chorpenning (208), Dennis Laube (209), Duncan Ferber (204), Jason Carpio (200,223), Nik Domann (200), Ryan Doll (201,201), and Tyler Hilker (216)
A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Shaun Crockett (456, previous best 452).
In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Nobody claimed victory in Division 1 (though Cory Chorpenning came closest), while Ryan Doll got the better of Division 2. Jennifer Seefeldt spanked Division 3, and John Kroenke had his way with Division 4. And, finally, nobody claimed victory in the Interdivisional bracket (though Tyler Hilker (Division ) came closest). In terms of overall points: Duncan Ferber calls the shots for Division 1; Nik Domann tops Division 2; David Parre is in the driver's seat in Division 3; and Travis Kleiner runs the show in Division 4.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 19&20, 10th-place Seriously Handicapped will face 7th-place Ebowla (hcp 17). The Handicapped is expected to perform well and win the series; while Ebowla is forecast to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
- Moving to lanes 21&22, 8th-place Your Mom (hcp 136) will tussle with 1st-place Sh!t, I Don't Know. Your Mom might perform well and win the series; while I Don't Know ought to drop their average a bit while they avoid getting swept.
- Then, over on lanes 23&24, 9th-place The GameCox (hcp 32) will throw some gutter balls with 3rd-place Dios Mios. The GameCox will likely maintain their current strength as they and split the series with Dios Mios; while Dios Mios will probably hold steady as they keep the series tied.
- Next up, on lanes 25&26, 2nd-place Bad Newz Kennels will chill with 6th-place Split Happens (hcp 120). The Kennels might perform well and sweep the series; while Split Happens ought to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
- Finally, on lanes 27&28, 4th-place Seefeldt the Glasscock will test their mettle against 5th-place Cannonbelt Run (hcp 275). The Glasscock is predicted to roll a little low, yet still manage to win the series; while Cannonbelt is anticipated to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
