Fall 2007 Week 6 Robo-RecapThe sixth week of Fall 2007 saw four teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (185) and series (504) for the women. As for the men, Bill Krejci snagged this week's high game with a 264, and high series was earned by Don Glasscock with a 693. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Sh!t, I Don't Know alternated between bowling and dry humping Split Happens. Even though highlighted by the skills of Cory Chorpenning with his below-average 547 series, I Don't Know accomplished only 1 win against Split Happens. Conversely, Most Valuable Bowler Nick Allegri mastered Split Happens with his dramatic 577 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Sh!t, I Don't Know drops 1 spot in the standings to 6th place, while Split Happens move 1 spot to 7th.

week6On lanes 21 & 22: Cannonbelt Run tussled with Dios Mios. With the strength of Seth Gunderson with his 518 series, Cannonbelt collected 3 wins against Dios Mios. As for the opposition, Bill Krejci guided Dios Mios with his above-average 651 despite his team notching only a single win. Cannonbelt Run remains in 4th place, while Dios Mios move 1 spot to 2nd.

On lanes 23 & 24: The GameCox couldn't stop inappropriately groping Seriously Handicapped. Headlined by Jason Carpio with his powerful 574 series, the GameCox collected 3 wins against the Handicapped. On the other half of the score sheet, John Kroenke dominated the Handicapped with his wondrous 403 despite his team notching only a single win. The GameCox leaps 1 spot in the standings to 5th place, while the Handicapped remains in 10th.

On lanes 25 & 26: Ebowla shared a platter of cheese sticks with Your Mom. Regardless of the star power of Travis Kleiner with his 401 series, Ebowla accomplished only 1 win against Your Mom. On the adjacent lane, Ryan Doll drew the spotlight in Your Mom with his below-average 510 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Ebowla plummets 2 spots in the standings to 9th place, while Your Mom moves 1 spot to 8th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Seefeldt the Glasscock took turns kicking the ball return with Bad Newz Kennels. Blessed by Don Glasscock with his above-average 693 series, with props to #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Nick Allegri, the Glasscock celebrated a clean sweep over the Kennels. On the flipside, Carl Goetz laid down the law in the Kennels with his 558 despite his team getting swept. Seefeldt the Glasscock remains in 1st place, while the Kennels sink 1 spot to 3rd.

Bowlers sneaking into The 200 Club include: Bill Krejci (264), Brian Eye (204,248,222), Carl Goetz (210,202), Cory Chorpenning (201), Don Glasscock (249,225,219), Jason Carpio (208), Ken M. Wilson (212,212), Nick Allegri (209), and Phil Schroeder (231)

The 693 rolled by Don Glasscock is tied for the 9th-best series in league history!

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Brian Eye got the better of Division 1, while Nick Allegri decimated Division 2. Phil Schroeder swept Division 3, and Janelle (Laube) Lamar trounced Division 4. And, finally, nobody claimed victory in the Interdivisional bracket (though Carl Goetz and Seth Gunderson (Division ) came closest). In terms of overall points: Brian Eye, Steve Kiernan, and Duncan Ferber lead Division 1 in a tie; Nik Domann governs Division 2; Phil Schroeder tops Division 3; and Janelle (Laube) Lamar dominates Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 19&20, 9th-place Ebowla (hcp 104) will chuck some balls with 4th-place Cannonbelt Run. Ebowla is expected to perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Cannonbelt is forecast to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 5th-place The GameCox will roll against 8th-place Your Mom (hcp 29). The GameCox might maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Your Mom ought to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 1st-place Seefeldt the Glasscock will match wits with 6th-place Sh!t, I Don't Know (hcp 62). The Glasscock will likely maintain their current strength as they win the series; while I Don't Know will probably drop their average a bit while they avoid getting swept.
  • Next up, on lanes 25&26, 2nd-place Dios Mios (hcp 50) will battle 3rd-place Bad Newz Kennels. Dios Mios might maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Kennels ought to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
  • Finally, on lanes 27&28, 10th-place Seriously Handicapped (hcp 68) will spend some quality time with 7th-place Split Happens. The Handicapped is predicted to perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Split Happens are anticipated to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
