The fifth week of Fall 2007 saw two teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Jennifer Seefeldt picked up this week's high game (176) and series (494) for the women, while Cory Chorpenning earned this week's high game (279) and series (676) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Dios Mios alternated between bowling and dry humping The GameCox. Demonstrating the prowess of #1 Head-to-Head Bill Krejci and his above-average 627 series, Dios Mios collected 3 wins against the GameCox. While that was going down, Jason Carpio reigned supreme in the GameCox with his above-average 526 despite his team notching only a single win. Dios Mios remains in 3rd place, while the GameCox sinks 1 spot to 6th.
On lanes 21 & 22: Ebowla celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Seriously Handicapped. Reinforced by Travis Kleiner with his above-average 429 series, Ebowla collected 3 wins against the Handicapped. Simultaneously, Tyler Hilker drew the spotlight in the Handicapped with his (either injured, sick, or sandbagging) 397 despite his team notching only a single win. Ebowla leaps 2 spots in the standings to 7th place, while the Handicapped remains in 10th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Split Happens had some one-on-one time with Bad Newz Kennels. While headlined by Nick Allegri with his below-average 460 series, Split Happens accomplished only 1 win against the Kennels. Split Happens drop 1 spot in the standings to 8th place, while the Kennels remain in 2nd.
On lanes 25 & 26: Cannonbelt Run entered a showdown to the death with Seefeldt the Glasscock. Despite the strength of Seth Gunderson with his above-average 541 series, Cannonbelt accomplished only 1 win against the Glasscock. In the meantime, Don Glasscock oversaw the Glasscock with his 668 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Cannonbelt Run remains in 4th place, while the Glasscock remains in 1st.
