Spring 2007 Week 4 Robo-RecapThe fourth week of Spring 2007 saw two teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series, and two rolled new personal high games. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (170) and series (456) for the women, while Stefan Miller earned this week's high game (246) and series (682) for the men. Meanwhile, the Tournament of Champions also kicked off tonight, beginning of 13 weeks of one-on-one bowling excitement! Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 15 & 16: King Pins kept stealing sips of beer from Oily Balls. In spite of top-billing by Duncan Ferber with his above-average 581 series, King Pins accomplished only 1 win against Oily Balls. Conversely, Ken M. Wilson ruled Oily Balls with his 593 as his team took the series with 3 wins. King Pins remains in 10th place, while Oily Balls remain in 2nd.

week4On lanes 17 & 18: Unstoppabowl had a delightful time with Doll's Balls. Led by Cory Chorpenning with his above-average 622 series, Unstoppabowl missed a clean sweep over Doll's Balls by just one pin.On the other side, Ryan Doll showed off in Doll's Balls with his below-average 467 as his team missed getting swept by just one pin. Unstoppabowl remains in 3rd place, while Doll's Balls plunge 3 spots to 7th.

On lanes 19 & 20: Those 4 Bowlers faced off against Guttersluts. Although blessed by Nik Domann with his 493 series, 4 Bowlers accomplished only 1 win against Guttersluts. On the adjacent lane, Bill Krejci drew the spotlight in Guttersluts with his dramatic 562 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Those 4 Bowlers remains in 5th place, while Guttersluts remain in 1st.

On lanes 21 & 22: Churn and Burn shared a platter of cheese sticks with X9XX. Although topped by James Cholke with his above-average 539 series, Churn and Burn got swept by X9XX. In the midst of this, trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Stefan Miller oversaw X9XX with his wondrous 682 as they swept the competition. Churn and Burn plummets 2 spots in the standings to 8th place, while X9XX jumps 3 spots to 4th.

Finally, down on lanes 23 & 24: Frickin' Ten Pin tussled with T.B.D.. Notwithstanding the leadership of Phil Schroeder with his above-average 511 series, Ten Pin accomplished only 1 win against T.B.D.. On the flipside, Steve Kiernan dominated T.B.D. with his 573 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Frickin' Ten Pin drops 1 spot in the standings to 9th place, while T.B.D. jumps 3 spots to 6th.

New personal high games were set tonight by Stefan Miller (246, previous best 226) and Dave Hickerson (193, previous best 181). In addition, a new personal best series was rolled by Stefan Miller (682, previous best 573).

Adding to the excitement, the 682 rolled by Stefan Miller is this season's new high series for men.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Cory Chorpenning creamed Division 1, while Stefan Miller crushed Division 2. Chris Lewis shut down Division 3, and Daniel Bolton walloped Division 4. And, finally, nobody claimed victory in the Interdivisional bracket (though Kendall Kukowski (Division ) came closest). In terms of overall points: Cory Chorpenning reigns over Division 1; Stefan Miller is in the driver's seat in Division 2; Chris Lewis tops Division 3; and Daniel Bolton dominates Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 15&16, 9th-place Frickin' Ten Pin will match wits with 1st-place Guttersluts (hcp 6). Ten Pin is expected to maintain their current strength as they just barely lose the series; while Guttersluts are forecast to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
  • Moving to lanes 17&18, 4th-place X9XX will meet with 6th-place T.B.D. (hcp 56). X9XX might maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while T.B.D. ought to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
  • Then, over on lanes 19&20, 8th-place Churn and Burn will test their mettle against 7th-place Doll's Balls (hcp 17). Churn and Burn will likely maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Doll's Balls will probably raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
  • Next up, on lanes 21&22, 5th-place Those 4 Bowlers (hcp 82) will spend some quality time with 2nd-place Oily Balls. 4 Bowlers might maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Oily Balls ought to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
  • Finally, on lanes 23&24, 3rd-place Unstoppabowl will challenge 10th-place King Pins (hcp 65). Unstoppabowl is predicted to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while King Pins are anticipated to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
