The Spring 2007 season is now underway, with ten teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. One bowler set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder landed this week's high game for the women with a 170, and women's high series was bagged by Angela Bradford with a 465. As for the men, Carl Goetz snagged this week's high game with a 234, and high series was earned by Carl Goetz and Pat Searcy, who tied with a 595. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 15 & 16: Oily Balls did battle with T.B.D.. Headlined by Pat Searcy with his 595 series, Oily Balls celebrated a clean sweep over T.B.D.. On the other side, Steve Kiernan commanded T.B.D. with his 528 despite his team getting swept. Oily Balls begins the season in 1st place, while T.B.D. commences the season with 10th.
On lanes 17 & 18: Doll's Balls kept grabbing the balls of Those 4 Bowlers. Reinforced by Ryan Doll with his 487 series, Doll's Balls split the series with 4 Bowlers. On the adjacent lane, Seth Gunderson showed off in 4 Bowlers with his 470 as they matched their opponent in wins. Doll's Balls begins with 5th place, while 4 Bowlers get rolling in 6th.
On lanes 19 & 20: Unstoppabowl spent a romantic evening with X9XX. Highlighting the skills of #1 Head-to-Head Cory Chorpenning and his 584 series, Unstoppabowl split the series with X9XX. Across the ball return, Dave Hickerson ruled X9XX with his 424 as they matched their opponent in wins. Unstoppabowl leaves the gate in 4th place, while X9XX gets going with 7th.
On lanes 21 & 22: Guttersluts tussled with Churn and Burn. Starring John Boren with his 518 series, Guttersluts collected 2.5 wins against Churn and Burn. In the midst of this, Jason Carpio took the lead in Churn and Burn with his 502 despite his team losing the matchup with only 1.5 victories. Guttersluts gets underway in 3rd place, while Churn and Burn starts off with 8th.
Finally, down on lanes 23 & 24: King Pins couldn't stop undressing with their eyes the members of Frickin' Ten Pin. In spite of the prowess of Daniel Bolton with his 376 series, King Pins accomplished only 1 win against Ten Pin. On the flipside, #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Carl Goetz mastered Ten Pin with his 595 as his team took the series with 3 wins. King Pins 9th place, while Ten Pin 2nd.
