The fourth week of Fall 2006 saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (167) and series (445) for the women, while David Codding earned this week's high game (267) and series (632) for the men. Meanwhile, the Tournament of Champions also kicked off tonight, beginning of 13 weeks of one-on-one bowling excitement! Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 15 & 16: I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of New Balls, Old Rack. Despite the strength of Ryan Doll with his below-average 451 series, with props to #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Scott Murdock, Not Gutter accomplished only 1 win against the Old Rack. Conversely, Bob Brunker called the shots for the Old Rack with his 574 as his team took the series with 3 wins. I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter remains in 5th place, while the Old Rack remains in 3rd.
On lanes 17 & 18: Frickin' Ten Pins kept grabbing the balls of Hez-Bowl-lah. Though reinforced by Carl Goetz with his below-average 471 series, Frickin' Ten Pins accomplished only 1 win against Hez-Bowl-lah. On the other side, Pete Forster laid down the law in Hez-Bowl-lah with his 554 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Frickin' Ten Pins remains in 7th place, while Hez-Bowl-lah remains in 4th.
On lanes 19 & 20: All Belts Are Off kept stealing sips of beer from Manute Bowl. Featuring David Codding with his 632 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Scott Murdock, the Belt collected 3 wins against Manute Bowl. As for the opposition, Andy McLeod commanded Manute Bowl with his above-average 408 despite his team notching only a single win. All Belts Are Off remains in 1st place, while Manute Bowl remains in 8th.
On lanes 21 & 22: Bowlkake2 had some one-on-one time with TBD. In spite of the prowess of Thomas Lin with his 557 series, Bowlkake2 accomplished only 1 win against TBD. On the flipside, David Parre shined in TBD with his above-average 486 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Bowlkake2 remains in 6th place, while TBD moves 1 spot to 9th.
Finally, down on lanes 23 & 24: Split Happens had a delightful time with Guttersluts. Blessed by Nick Allegri with his 519 series, Split Happens collected 3 wins against the Guttersluts. On the other half of the score sheet, Andrea DeLong drew the spotlight in the Guttersluts with her below-average 332 despite her team notching only a single win. Split Happens remains in 2nd place, while the Guttersluts sink 1 spot to 10th.
Bowlers slipping into The 200 Club include: Bob Brunker (232), David Codding (267), Pat Searcy (201), Pete Forster (202), and Seth Gunderson (208)

Adding to the excitement, the 267 rolled by David Codding is this season's new high game for men.
The 267 rolled by David Codding is tied for the 5th-best game in league history!
In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Nick Allegri vanquished Division 1, while Rich DeYoung had his way with Division 2. Scott Murdock staked a claim for the Iron Throne in Division 3, and Andy McLeod conquered Division 4. And, finally, nobody claimed victory in the Interdivisional bracket, and in fact we aren't even going to talk about this bracket as it was a complete embarassment. In terms of overall points: Nick Allegri leads Division 1; Rich DeYoung tops Division 2; Scott Murdock runs the show in Division 3; and Andy McLeod dominates Division 4.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 15&16, 2nd-place Split Happens will roll against 8th-place Manute Bowl (hcp 47). Split Happens are expected to perform well and win the series; while Manute Bowl is forecast to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
- Moving to lanes 17&18, 9th-place TBD will battle 10th-place Guttersluts (hcp 68). TBD might maintain their current strength as they just barely miss sweeping the series; while the Guttersluts ought to hold steady as they just barely avoid getting swept.
- Then, over on lanes 19&20, 6th-place Bowlkake2 will compete against 4th-place Hez-Bowl-lah (hcp 15). Bowlkake2 will likely maintain their current strength as they get swept; while Hez-Bowl-lah will probably raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
- Next up, on lanes 21&22, 1st-place All Belts Are Off will chuck some balls with 3rd-place New Balls, Old Rack (hcp 24). The Belt might maintain their current strength as they and split the series with the Old Rack; while the Old Rack ought to hold steady as they keep the series tied.
- Finally, on lanes 23&24, 7th-place Frickin' Ten Pins will tussle with 5th-place I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter (hcp 81). Frickin' Ten Pins are predicted to perform well and just barely miss sweeping the series; while Not Gutter is anticipated to raise their average even as they just barely avoid getting swept.
