The Fall 2006 season is now underway, with ten teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. Deena Slinkard landed this week's high game for the women with a 192, and women's high series was bagged by Freda Schroeder with a 502. As for the men, David Codding earned this week's high game (222) and series (623). Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 11 & 12: New Balls, Old Rack shared a few beers with Guttersluts. Highlighting the skills of Ken M. Wilson with his 527 series, the Old Rack collected 3 wins against the Guttersluts. In the meantime, Kris Hiestand ruled the Guttersluts with his 347 despite his team notching only a single win. New Balls, Old Rack starts out in 4th place, while the Guttersluts get rolling in 9th.
On lanes 13 & 14: Hez-Bowl-lah alternated splits with All Belts Are Off. Although blessed by Nik Domann with his 473 series, Hez-Bowl-lah accomplished only 1 win against the Belt. On the flipside, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head David Codding mastered the Belt with his 623 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Hez-Bowl-lah leaves the gate in 6th place, while the Belt commences the season with 2nd.
On lanes 15 & 16: Frickin' Ten Pins had a rendezvous with TBD. With the strength of Carl Goetz with his 539 series, Frickin' Ten Pins celebrated a clean sweep over TBD. Across the ball return, David Parre reigned supreme in TBD with his 456 despite his team getting swept. Frickin' Ten Pins begins with 1st place, while TBD gets going with 10th.
On lanes 17 & 18: Manute Bowl hung out with Bowlkake2. Regardless of the star power of Andy McLeod with his 435 series, Manute Bowl accomplished only 1 win against Bowlkake2. In the midst of this, Thomas Lin called the shots for Bowlkake2 with his 548 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Manute Bowl begins the season in 7th place, while Bowlkake2 begins in 3rd.
Finally, down on lanes 19 & 20: I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter chucked gutter balls with Split Happens. In spite of the prowess of Ryan Doll with his 475 series, Not Gutter accomplished only 1 win against Split Happens. As for the opposition, Nick Allegri showed off in Split Happens with his 545 as his team took the series with 3 wins. I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter 8th place, while Split Happens 5th.
