Fall 2006 Week 1 Robo-RecapThe Fall 2006 season is now underway, with ten teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. Deena Slinkard landed this week's high game for the women with a 192, and women's high series was bagged by Freda Schroeder with a 502. As for the men, David Codding earned this week's high game (222) and series (623). Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 11 & 12: New Balls, Old Rack accepted a challenge by Guttersluts. Topped by Ken M. Wilson with his 527 series, the Old Rack collected 3 wins against the Guttersluts. While that was going down, Kris Hiestand reigned supreme in the Guttersluts with his 347 despite his team notching only a single win. New Balls, Old Rack begins the season in 4th place, while the Guttersluts start off with 9th.

week1On lanes 13 & 14: Hez-Bowl-lah sparred with All Belts Are Off. In spite of top-billing by Nik Domann with his 473 series, Hez-Bowl-lah accomplished only 1 win against the Belt. Across the ball return, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head David Codding called the shots for the Belt with his 623 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Hez-Bowl-lah gets underway in 6th place, while the Belt begins in 2nd.

On lanes 15 & 16: Frickin' Ten Pins alternated splits with TBD. Led by Carl Goetz with his 539 series, Frickin' Ten Pins celebrated a clean sweep over TBD. Concurrently, David Parre drew the spotlight in TBD with his 456 despite his team getting swept. Frickin' Ten Pins begins with 1st place, while TBD gets rolling in 10th.

On lanes 17 & 18: Manute Bowl shared a few beers with Bowlkake2. Regardless of the star power of Andy McLeod with his 435 series, Manute Bowl accomplished only 1 win against Bowlkake2. Meanwhile, Thomas Lin guided Bowlkake2 with his 548 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Manute Bowl leaves the gate in 7th place, while Bowlkake2 gets going with 3rd.

Finally, down on lanes 19 & 20: I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter waged a heated competition against Split Happens. Though reinforced by Ryan Doll with his 475 series, Not Gutter accomplished only 1 win against Split Happens. As for the opposition, Nick Allegri laid down the law in Split Happens with his 545 as his team took the series with 3 wins. I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter 8th place, while Split Happens 5th.

  • First, on lanes 15&16, 7th-place Manute Bowl (hcp 49) will roll against 6th-place Hez-Bowl-lah. Manute Bowl is expected to maintain their current strength as they get swept; while Hez-Bowl-lah is forecast to raise their average while they rack up a sweep.
  • Moving to lanes 17&18, 4th-place New Balls, Old Rack will compete against 10th-place TBD (estimated estimated hcp 91). The Old Rack might maintain their current strength as they win the series; while TBD ought to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
  • Then, over on lanes 19&20, 9th-place Guttersluts (estimated estimated hcp 103) will test their mettle against 8th-place I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter. The Guttersluts will likely astounding and sweep the series; while Not Gutter will probably hold steady as they endure a rough night.
