Spring 2006 Week 15 Robo-RecapThe fifteenth week of Spring 2006 saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series, and three rolled new personal high games. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (181) and series (472) for the women. As for the men, Tim Segraves snagged this week's high game with a 246, and high series was earned by Carl Goetz with a 644. Meanwhile, Tournament of Champions is officially down to its final eight bowlers, who will face each other next week competing for two cash prizes! Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 21 & 22: Bora Bora alternated splits with Yo Mama. Featuring Dennis Laube with his above-average 528 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Phil Schroeder, Bora Bora collected 3 wins against Yo Mama. In the meantime, Jason Caton laid down the law in Yo Mama with his 422 despite his team notching only a single win. Bora Bora remains in 3rd place, while Yo Mama sinks 1 spot to 7th.

week15On lanes 23 & 24: Tatonka tussled with I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka!. Notwithstanding the leadership of Andy McLeod with his above-average 474 series, Tatonka got swept by the Belt. While that was going down, #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Rich DeYoung drew the spotlight in the Belt with his miraculous 629 as they swept the competition. Tatonka remains in 8th place, while the Belt remains in 1st.

On lanes 25 & 26: Guttersluts couldn't stop undressing with their eyes the members of Bowl Movement. Demonstrating the prowess of Travis Kleiner with his astounding 469 series, Guttersluts celebrated a clean sweep over Bowl Movement. Simultaneously, Carl Goetz took the lead in Bowl Movement with his above-average 644 despite his team getting swept. Guttersluts leap 1 spot in the standings to 6th place, while Bowl Movement remains in 2nd.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Split Happens alternated between bowling and dry humping Sweeter Than Yoohoo. In spite of top-billing by James Long with his 547 series, Split Happens accomplished only 1 win against Yoohoo. Conversely, Tim Segraves showed off in Yoohoo with his 534 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Split Happens remains in 5th place, while Yoohoo remains in 4th.

Bowlers slipping into The 200 Club include: Carl Goetz (214,235), James Long (217), Rich DeYoung (219,226), Scott Murdock (228), and Tim Segraves (246)

New personal high games were set tonight by Scott Murdock (228, previous best 204), Andrea Wilson (169, previous best 168), and Amanda Cox Jeter (158, previous best 155). In addition, a new personal best series was rolled by Amanda Cox Jeter (446, previous best 387).

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Carl Goetz ruled Division 1, while nobody claimed victory in Division 2 (though Phil Schroeder came closest). Will Jeter swept Division 3, and nobody claimed victory in Division 4 (though Tracy Rychlewski came closest). Finally, Dennis Laube (Division 2) made quick work of this week's Interdivisional bracket. Finally, Andrea Wilson (Division 4) made quick work of this week's Interdivisional bracket. Congratulations to our division champions! The following eight people will compete next week for the big prize!

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 21&22, 1st-place I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka! (hcp 740) will spend some quality time with 2nd-place Bowl Movement. The Belt is expected to have their averages plummet as they get swept; while Bowl Movement is forecast to hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
  • Moving to lanes 23&24, 3rd-place Bora Bora will test their mettle against 4th-place Sweeter Than Yoohoo. Bora Bora might watch their averages take a plunge, but split the series with Yoohoo; while Yoohoo ought to see their team average take a dive while they keep the series tied.
  • Then, over on lanes 25&26, 5th-place Split Happens (hcp 447) will throw some gutter balls with 6th-place Guttersluts. Split Happens will likely see their averages fall off a cliff as they get swept; while Guttersluts will probably hold steady as they rack up a sweep.
  • Finally, on lanes 27&28, 7th-place Yo Mama will compete against 8th-place Tatonka. Yo Mama is predicted to perform weakly, but split the series with Tatonka; while Tatonka is anticipated to see their team average take a dive while they keep the series tied.

Read on for all the rest of the details!

Meanwhile, David Codding laid down the law in Bowl Movement with his 601 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Split Happens drop 1 spot in the standings to 5th place, while Bowl Movement remains in 2nd.

An irritated Kody waits for Russell to bowl.On lanes 23 & 24: Guttersluts spent some quality time with Sweeter Than Yoohoo. Guttersluts drop 1 spot in the standings to 7th place, while Yoohoo moves 1 spot to 4th.

On lanes 25 & 26: Bora Bora took turns kicking the ball return with I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka!. Despite being led by John Richardson with his 494 series, Bora Bora accomplished only 1 win against the Belt. While that was going down, trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Rich DeYoung reigned supreme in the Belt with his exceptional 659 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Bora Bora remains in 3rd place, while the Belt remains in 1st.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Yo Mama alternated between bowling and dry humping Tatonka. With the strength of Andy Metzler with his 503 series, Yo Mama collected 3 wins against Tatonka. Conversely, Andy McLeod called the shots for Tatonka with his above-average 507 despite his team notching only a single win. Yo Mama leaps 1 spot in the standings to 6th place, while Tatonka remains in 8th.

Spring 2006, Week 13

Posted by BowlingBot On April - 4 - 2006ADD COMMENTS

Spring 2006 Week 13 Robo-RecapThe thirteenth week of Spring 2006 saw two teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. One bowler roll a new personal best game. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (195) and series (527) for the women. As for the men, Ken M. Wilson snagged this week's high game with a 236, and high series was earned by David Codding with a 627. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 21 & 22: Tatonka matched wits with Bora Bora. In spite of the prowess of Greg Franklin with his above-average 407 series, Tatonka got swept by Bora Bora. Across the ball return, Freda Schroeder ruled Bora Bora with her terrific 527 as they swept the competition. Tatonka remains in 8th place, while Bora Bora jumps 2 spots to 3rd.

week13On lanes 23 & 24: I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka! traded lane malfunctions with Yo Mama. Led by Seth Gunderson with his above-average 562 series, the Belt collected 3 wins against Yo Mama. On the other side, Andy Metzler mastered Yo Mama with his below-average 488 despite his team notching only a single win. I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka! remains in 1st place, while Yo Mama sinks 1 spot to 7th.

On lanes 25 & 26: Split Happens accepted a challenge by Guttersluts. Notwithstanding the leadership of #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Ryan Doll and his astounding 591 series, Split Happens missed getting swept by Guttersluts by just one pin. On the adjacent lane, Travis Kleiner dominated Guttersluts with his dramatic 486 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Ariel Waldman) as his team took the series with 3.5 wins. Split Happens drop 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while Guttersluts move 1 spot to 6th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Sweeter Than Yoohoo had some one-on-one time with Bowl Movement. With Yoohoo forfeiting, all Bowl Movement needed to do was roll within 50 pins of their combined team average each game. Mission accomplished. In their battle to get within at least 40 pins of average, David Codding reigned supreme in Bowl Movement with his above-average 627 as they swept the competition. Sweeter Than Yoohoo drops 1 spot in the standings to 5th place, while Bowl Movement remains in 2nd.

Bowlers enjoying a guest admission to The 200 Club include: David Codding (218,203,206), Ken M. Wilson (236), Rich DeYoung (211), Ryan Doll (202,211), Seth Gunderson (213), and Travis Kleiner (211)

A new personal high game was set tonight by Andrea Wilson (168, previous best 160).

Adding to the excitement, the 527 rolled by Freda Schroeder is this season's new high series among women.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Ken M. Wilson had his way with Division 1, while David Codding made quick work of Division 2. Nobody claimed victory in Division 3 (though Scott Murdock came closest), and Ryan Doll staked a claim for the Iron Throne in Division 4. And, finally, nobody claimed victory in the Interdivisional bracket (though Scott Murdock (Division ) came closest). In terms of overall points: Ken M. Wilson runs the show in Division 1; David Codding reigns over Division 2; John Richardson calls the shots for Division 3; and Ryan Doll tops Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 21&22, 4th-place Split Happens (hcp 189) will chill with 2nd-place Bowl Movement. Split Happens are expected to maintain their current strength as they get swept; while Bowl Movement is forecast to drop their average a bit even as they rack up a sweep.
  • Moving to lanes 23&24, 6th-place Guttersluts (hcp 216) will meet with 5th-place Sweeter Than Yoohoo. Guttersluts might perform well, but split the series with Yoohoo; while Yoohoo ought to drop their average a bit while they keep the series tied.
  • Then, over on lanes 25&26, 3rd-place Bora Bora (hcp 72) will spend some quality time with 1st-place I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka!. Bora Bora will likely maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Belt will probably hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
  • Finally, on lanes 27&28, 7th-place Yo Mama will face 8th-place Tatonka (hcp 16). Yo Mama is predicted to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Tatonka is anticipated to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
