By now every team has bowled each other once, so next week is the Spring 2006 position round. But enough about next week, you came here to read about this week. The seventh week saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and two rolled new personal high games. Tracy Rychlewski landed this week's high game for the women with a 170, and women's high series was bagged by Freda Schroeder with a 460. As for the men, Jason Carpio snagged this week's high game with a 256, and high series was earned by Carl Goetz with a 661. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 21 & 22: Split Happens alternated splits with Sweeter Than Yoohoo. Highlighting the skills of Ryan Doll with his above-average 509 series, Split Happens collected 3 wins against Yoohoo. In the meantime, Thomas Lin reigned supreme in Yoohoo with his above-average 615 (along with props to #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Jason Carpio) despite his team notching only a single win. Split Happens remains in 2nd place, while Yoohoo sinks 1 spot to 4th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Guttersluts kept grabbing the balls of Bowl Movement. Although topped by Erin deVries with her astonishing 374 series, Guttersluts accomplished only 1 win against Bowl Movement. Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Tatonka shared a few beers with I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka!. Though featuring Andy McLeod with his thrilling 522 series, Tatonka accomplished only 1 win against the Belt. While that was going down, Most Valuable Bowler Jason Carpio laid down the law in the Belt with his above-average 630 as his team took the series with 3 wins. In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Carl Goetz ruled Division 1, while David Codding rolled his ass to the top of Division 2. John Richardson won Division 3, and Ryan Doll routed Division 4. And, finally, nobody claimed victory in the Interdivisional bracket, and in fact we aren't even going to talk about this bracket as it was a complete embarassment. In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz is in the driver's seat in Division 1; David Codding holds the reins in Division 2; Tim Segraves runs the show in Division 3; and Ryan Doll governs Division 4.
NEXT WEEK:
- First, on lanes 21&22, 1st-place I'm Gonna Belt Ya, Sucka! will hang out with 2nd-place Split Happens (hcp 136). The Belt is expected to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Split Happens are forecast to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
- Moving to lanes 23&24, 3rd-place Bowl Movement will meet with 4th-place Sweeter Than Yoohoo (hcp 87). Bowl Movement might perform well and sweep the series; while Yoohoo ought to drop their average a bit while they endure a rough night.
- Then, over on lanes 25&26, 5th-place Yo Mama (hcp 64) will share a couple of pitchers with 6th-place Bora Bora. Yo Mama will likely roll decently, but split the series with Bora Bora; while Bora Bora will probably raise their average while they keep the series tied.
- Finally, on lanes 27&28, 7th-place Tatonka will tussle with 8th-place Guttersluts (hcp 96). Tatonka is predicted to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Guttersluts are anticipated to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
