Fall 2005 Week 13 Robo-RecapThe thirteenth week of Fall 2005 saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. Freda Schroeder picked up this week's high game (177) and series (502) for the women, while John Richardson earned this week's high game (226) and series (644) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 21 & 22: Tatonka kept stealing sips of beer from Harry Potter and the Magic Balls. Led by Will Jeter with his 446 series, Tatonka collected 3 wins against Harry Potter. On the adjacent lane, Andy Metzler drew the spotlight in Harry Potter with his above-average 511 despite his team notching only a single win. Tatonka remains in 1st place, while Harry Potter remains in 7th.

week13On lanes 23 & 24: The Big LeBowlskies matched wits with Three Men and a Babe. Despite the strength of Dennis Laube with his above-average 559 series, The Big LeBowlskies accomplished only 1 win against Three Men and a Babe. On the other half of the score sheet, Ken M. Wilson called the shots for Three Men and a Babe with his 562 as his team took the series with 3 wins. The Big LeBowlskies drop 1 spot in the standings to 6th place, while Three Men and a Babe moves 1 spot to 5th.

On lanes 25 & 26: Bora Bora! had a delightful time with Derka, Derka. Highlighting the skills of trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) John Richardson and his awe-inspiring 644 series, Bora Bora! collected 3 wins against Derka, Derka. As for the opposition, Rich DeYoung guided Derka, Derka with his 508 despite his team notching only a single win. Bora Bora! remains in 2nd place, while Derka, Derka remains in 4th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Munson'd spent a romantic evening with Same Belt, New Notch. With Munson'd forfeiting, all the Belt needed to do was roll within 40 pins of their combined team average each game. Mission accomplished. In their battle to get within at least 40 pins of average, Carl Goetz laid down the law in the Belt with his 556 as they swept the competition. Munson'd remains in 8th place, while the Belt remains in 3rd.

Bowlers paying far too much for well vodka at The 200 Club include: Carl Goetz (214), John Richardson (226,226), Ken M. Wilson (214), and Seth Gunderson (221)

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Nobody claimed victory in Division 1 (though Ken M. Wilson came closest), while Seth Gunderson triumphed over his enemies in Division 2. Tracy Rychlewski dominated Division 3, and John Richardson crushed Division 4. In terms of overall points: Ken M. Wilson dominates Division 1; Seth Gunderson calls the shots for Division 2; Phil Schroeder reigns over Division 3; and John Richardson holds the reins in Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:

  • First, on lanes 21&22, 2nd-place Bora Bora! (hcp 93) will share a couple of pitchers with 3rd-place Same Belt, New Notch. Bora Bora! is expected to perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Belt is forecast to hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
  • Moving to lanes 23&24, 4th-place Derka, Derka will chuck some balls with 8th-place Munson'd (hcp 92). Derka, Derka might maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Munson'd ought to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
  • Then, over on lanes 25&26, 7th-place Harry Potter and the Magic Balls (hcp 48) will tussle with 6th-place The Big LeBowlskies. Harry Potter will likely maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while The Big LeBowlskies will probably hold steady as they enjoy their victories.
  • Finally, on lanes 27&28, 5th-place Three Men and a Babe will spend some quality time with 1st-place Tatonka (hcp 107). Three Men and a Babe is predicted to maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while Tatonka is anticipated to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
