Fall 2005 Week 2 Robo-RecapThe second week of Fall 2005 saw two teams climb in the standings, while four teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Lauren Schuster landed this week's high game for the women with a 214, and women's high series was bagged by Janelle (Laube) Lamar with a 457. As for the men, Rich DeYoung snagged this week's high game with a 236, and high series was earned by David Codding with a 627. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 21 & 22: Derka, Derka did battle with Harry Potter and the Magic Balls. Reinforced by Rich DeYoung with his above-average 585 series, Derka, Derka collected 3 wins against Harry Potter. On the flipside, Andy Metzler called the shots for Harry Potter with his below-average 500 despite his team notching only a single win. Derka, Derka remains in 1st place, while Harry Potter plunges 3 spots to 5th.

week2On lanes 23 & 24: The Big LeBowlskies alternated between bowling and dry humping Munson'd. Topped by trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Dennis Laube and his breathtaking 589 series, The Big LeBowlskies celebrated a clean sweep over Munson'd. Across the ball return, Mark Belles showed off in Munson'd with his 434 despite his team getting swept. The Big LeBowlskies leap 6 spots in the standings to 2nd place, while Munson'd sinks 1 spot to 8th.

On lanes 25 & 26: Three Men and a Babe hung out with Bora Bora!. Featuring David Codding with his above-average 627 series, Three Men and a Babe split the series with Bora Bora!. Meanwhile, Phil Schroeder reigned supreme in Bora Bora! with his above-average 455 as they matched their opponent in wins. Three Men and a Babe remains in 4th place, while Bora Bora! sinks 1 spot to 6th.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Same Belt, New Notch accepted a challenge by Tatonka. Notwithstanding the leadership of Carl Goetz with his 556 series, the Belt accomplished only 1 win against Tatonka. On the other half of the score sheet, Will Jeter took the lead in Tatonka with his commanding 517 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Same Belt, New Notch plummets 4 spots in the standings to 7th place, while Tatonka jumps 3 spots to 3rd.

A new personal high game was set tonight by Rich DeYoung (236, previous best 211). In addition, a new personal best series was rolled by Rich DeYoung (585, previous best 559).

Adding to the excitement, the 214 rolled by Lauren Schuster is this season's new high game among women.

  • Moving to lanes 23&24, 7th-place Same Belt, New Notch will test their mettle against 5th-place Harry Potter and the Magic Balls (hcp 79). The Belt might maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Harry Potter ought to drop their average a bit while they avoid getting swept.
  • Then, over on lanes 25&26, 8th-place Munson'd will spend some quality time with 3rd-place Tatonka (hcp 42). Munson'd will likely maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Tatonka will probably raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
