Fall 2005 Week 4 Robo-RecapThe fourth week of Fall 2005 saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series. Janelle (Laube) Lamar picked up this week's high game (132) and series (382) for the women, while David Codding earned this week's high game (245) and series (702) for the men. Meanwhile, the Tournament of Champions also kicked off tonight, beginning of 13 weeks of one-on-one bowling excitement! Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 21 & 22: Tatonka shared a platter of cheese sticks with Derka, Derka. Featuring Will Jeter with his above-average 534 series, Tatonka split the series with Derka, Derka. On the other half of the score sheet, Thomas Lin guided Derka, Derka with his 535 as they matched their opponent in wins. Tatonka drops 1 spot in the standings to 3rd place, while Derka, Derka remains in 1st.

week4On lanes 23 & 24: Munson'd entered a showdown to the death with Three Men and a Babe. Although blessed by Gabe Wishnie with his 386 series, Munson'd got swept by Three Men and a Babe. As for the opposition, trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) David Codding reigned supreme in Three Men and a Babe with his terrific 702 as they swept the competition. Munson'd remains in 8th place, while Three Men and a Babe moves 1 spot to 5th.

On lanes 25 & 26: Same Belt, New Notch had a rendezvous with The Big LeBowlskies. In spite of top-billing by Demond Robinson with his 539 series, the Belt accomplished only 1 win against The Big LeBowlskies. Countering this, Dennis Laube mastered The Big LeBowlskies with his 537 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Same Belt, New Notch remains in 4th place, while The Big LeBowlskies move 1 spot to 2nd.

Finally, down on lanes 27 & 28: Harry Potter and the Magic Balls spent some quality time with Bora Bora!. Despite being led by Andy Metzler with his 501 series, Harry Potter accomplished only 1 win against Bora Bora!. Across the ball return, John Richardson laid down the law in Bora Bora! with his staggering 445 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Harry Potter and the Magic Balls remains in 7th place, while Bora Bora! sinks 1 spot to 6th.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 21&22, 1st-place Derka, Derka will throw some gutter balls with 2nd-place Harry Potter and the Magic Balls (hcp 20). Derka, Derka is expected to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Harry Potter is forecast to drop their average a bit while they avoid getting swept.
  • Moving to lanes 23&24, 8th-place The Big LeBowlskies (estimated estimated hcp 83) will face 7th-place Munson'd. The Big LeBowlskies might powerful and sweep the series; while Munson'd ought to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
  • Then, over on lanes 25&26, 4th-place Three Men and a Babe will share a couple of pitchers with 5th-place Bora Bora! (estimated hcp 137). Three Men and a Babe will likely maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Bora Bora! will probably raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
  • Finally, on lanes 27&28, 3rd-place Same Belt, New Notch will test their mettle against 6th-place Tatonka (estimated hcp 169). The Belt is predicted to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Tatonka is anticipated to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
