Spring 2005 Week 13 Robo-RecapA stagnated thirteenth week of Spring 2005 resulted in absolutely no movement in the standings. One bowler set a new personal best series. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (179) and series (508) for the women, while Ken M. Wilson earned this week's high game (243) and series (646) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: 4 Play traded lane malfunctions with Big Pin Pin. In spite of the prowess of Bob Brunker with his above-average 551 series, 4 Play accomplished only 1 win against Pin Pin. As for the opposition, Brad Zollars commanded Pin Pin with his dramatic 458 as his team took the series with 3 wins. 4 Play remains in 2nd place, while Pin Pin remains in 8th.

week13On lanes 21 & 22: Handicrappers spent a romantic evening with Nellielocks and the 3 Spares. Starring Ashley Razak with her stunning 430 series, Handicrappers collected 3 wins against Nellielocks. Simultaneously, Rich DeYoung shined in Nellielocks with his above-average 549 despite his team notching only a single win. Handicrappers remains in 5th place, while Nellielocks remain in 4th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Bowlingstar Galactica sparred with The Incredibowls. Topped by Jason Carpio, Corey Weinfurt with their 490 series, with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Jason Carpio, the Galactica split the series with The Incredibowls. On the other half of the score sheet, Freda Schroeder reigned supreme in The Incredibowls with her 447 as they matched their opponent in wins. Bowlingstar Galactica remains in 7th place, while The Incredibowls remain in 6th.

Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: Sub Parre celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with All Belt, No Buckle. Featuring #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Ken M. Wilson and his astounding 646 series, Sub Parre collected 3 wins against the Belt. Across the ball return, Nik Domann dominated the Belt with his 528 despite his team notching only a single win. Sub Parre remains in 3rd place, while the Belt remains in 1st.

Bowlers bribing their way into The 200 Club include: Bart Smith (201), Bob Brunker (201), Ken M. Wilson (212,243), Nik Domann (201), Rich DeYoung (210), and Seth Gunderson (207)

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Kris Hiestand (404, previous best 398).

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Nobody claimed victory in Division 1 (though Jason Carpio came closest), while Michael Basham shut down Division 2. Brad Zollars had his way with Division 3, and Bart Smith made quick work of Division 4. In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz holds the reins in Division 1; Michael Basham dominates Division 2; Freda Schroeder calls the shots for Division 3; and Bart Smith runs the show in Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 19&20, 7th-place Bowlingstar Galactica (hcp 32) will test their mettle against 1st-place All Belt, No Buckle. The Galactica is expected to maintain their current strength as they and split the series with the Belt; while the Belt is forecast to hold steady as they keep the series tied.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 6th-place The Incredibowls will chuck some balls with 3rd-place Sub Parre (hcp 72). The Incredibowls might maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Sub Parre ought to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 8th-place Big Pin Pin will chill with 5th-place Handicrappers (hcp 32). Pin Pin will likely roll decently and sweep the series; while Handicrappers will probably hold steady as they endure a rough night.
  • Finally, on lanes 25&26, 4th-place Nellielocks and the 3 Spares (hcp 28) will face 2nd-place 4 Play. Nellielocks are predicted to perform well and win the series; while 4 Play is anticipated to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
