The ninth week of Spring 2005 saw three teams climb in the standings, while four teams slipped. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (199) and series (580) for the women. First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Handicrappers kept grabbing the balls of The Incredibowls. Despite the strength of Amanda Schulte with her above-average 379 series, Handicrappers got swept by The Incredibowls. On the adjacent lane, Carl Goetz oversaw The Incredibowls with his above-average 600 as they swept the competition. Handicrappers drop 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while The Incredibowls jump 2 spots to 6th.

On lanes 21 & 22: Sub Parre matched wits with Big Pin Pin. Highlighting the skills of Andy Metzler with his above-average 492 series, Sub Parre collected 3 wins against Pin Pin. While that was going down, Brad Zollars shined in Pin Pin with his above-average 446 despite his team notching only a single win. Sub Parre leaps 1 spot in the standings to 3rd place, while Pin Pin sinks 1 spot to 7th.

On lanes 23 & 24: 4 Play chucked gutter balls with Bowlingstar Galactica. Demonstrating the prowess of trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Angela Bradford and her splendid 580 series, 4 Play celebrated a clean sweep over the Galactica. On the other side, Jason Carpio reigned supreme in the Galactica with his miraculous 569 despite his team getting swept. 4 Play leaps 1 spot in the standings to 1st place, while the Galactica sinks 1 spot to 8th.

Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: All Belt, No Buckle spent some quality time with Nellielocks and the 3 Spares. Showcasing Nik Domann with his above-average 546 series, the Belt collected 3 wins against Nellielocks. On the flipside, Dennis Laube showed off in Nellielocks with his 506 despite his team notching only a single win. All Belt, No Buckle drops 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while Nellielocks remain in 5th.

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Carl Goetz claimed victory in Division 1, while Angela Bradford swept Division 2. Scott Murdock spanked Division 3, and Andrea Wilson staked a claim for the Iron Throne in Division 4. In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz is in the driver's seat in Division 1; Michael Basham dominates Division 2; Freda Schroeder runs the show in Division 3; and Andrea Wilson calls the shots for Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:

• First, on lanes 19&20, 5th-place Nellielocks and the 3 Spares will socialize with 8th-place Bowlingstar Galactica (hcp 11). Nellielocks are expected to perform well and sweep the series; while the Galactica is forecast to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
• Moving to lanes 21&22, 2nd-place All Belt, No Buckle will hang out with 1st-place 4 Play (hcp 36). The Belt might perform well and win the series; while 4 Play ought to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
