Spring 2005 Week 9 Robo-RecapThe ninth week of Spring 2005 saw three teams climb in the standings, while four teams slipped. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (199) and series (580) for the women. As for the men, Demond Robinson snagged this week's high game with a 234, and high series was earned by Carl Goetz with a 600. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Handicrappers took turns kicking the ball return with The Incredibowls. In spite of top-billing by Amanda Schulte with her above-average 379 series, Handicrappers got swept by The Incredibowls. Conversely, Carl Goetz ruled The Incredibowls with his above-average 600 as they swept the competition. Handicrappers drop 1 spot in the standings to 4th place, while The Incredibowls jump 2 spots to 6th.

This was done rather often this week by people we wouldn't normally expect. On lanes 21 & 22: Sub Parre alternated between bowling and dry humping Big Pin Pin. Led by Andy Metzler with his above-average 492 series, Sub Parre collected 3 wins against Pin Pin. Countering this, Brad Zollars dominated Pin Pin with his above-average 446 despite his team notching only a single win. Sub Parre leaps 1 spot in the standings to 3rd place, while Pin Pin sinks 1 spot to 7th.

On lanes 23 & 24: 4 Play hung out with Bowlingstar Galactica. Featuring trifecta-winner (#1 Head-to-Head, #1 Power-Ranked, and Most Valuable Bowler) Angela Bradford and her splendid 580 series, 4 Play celebrated a clean sweep over the Galactica. Meanwhile, Jason Carpio drew the spotlight in the Galactica with his exceptional 569 despite his team getting swept. 4 Play leaps 1 spot in the standings to 1st place, while the Galactica sinks 1 spot to 8th.

Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: All Belt, No Buckle kept grabbing the balls of Nellielocks and the 3 Spares. Headlined by Nik Domann with his above-average 546 series, the Belt collected 3 wins against Nellielocks. In the meantime, Dennis Laube mastered Nellielocks with his 506 despite his team notching only a single win. All Belt, No Buckle drops 1 spot in the standings to 2nd place, while Nellielocks remain in 5th.

Bowlers getting the VIP treatment in The 200 Club include: Carl Goetz (203,201), Demond Robinson (234), Jason Carpio (211), and Nik Domann (232)

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Carl Goetz shut down Division 1, while Angela Bradford swept Division 2. Scott Murdock rolled his ass to the top of Division 3, and Andrea Wilson spanked Division 4. In terms of overall points: Carl Goetz dominates Division 1; Michael Basham reigns over Division 2; Freda Schroeder governs Division 3; and Andrea Wilson tops Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:

  • First, on lanes 19&20, 5th-place Nellielocks and the 3 Spares will socialize with 8th-place Bowlingstar Galactica (hcp 11). Nellielocks are expected to perform well and sweep the series; while the Galactica is forecast to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 2nd-place All Belt, No Buckle will chuck some balls with 1st-place 4 Play (hcp 36). The Belt might perform well and win the series; while 4 Play ought to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 4th-place Handicrappers (hcp 4) will battle 3rd-place Sub Parre. Handicrappers will likely roll decently, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Sub Parre will probably raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
  • Finally, on lanes 25&26, 6th-place The Incredibowls will spend some quality time with 7th-place Big Pin Pin (hcp 39). The Incredibowls are predicted to perform well and win the series; while Pin Pin is anticipated to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
