Spring 2005 Week 11 Robo-RecapThe eleventh week of Spring 2005 saw three teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. Two bowlers set a new personal best series, and two rolled new personal high games. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (225) and series (560) for the women, while Ken M. Wilson earned this week's high game (228) and series (599) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Sub Parre alternated splits with 4 Play. Demonstrating the prowess of David Parre with his splendid 514 series, Sub Parre split the series with 4 Play. Conversely, Ken M. Wilson mastered 4 Play with his above-average 599 as they matched their opponent in wins. Sub Parre remains in 3rd place, while 4 Play sinks 1 spot to 2nd.

week11On lanes 21 & 22: Nellielocks and the 3 Spares accepted a challenge by The Incredibowls. Headlined by #1 Head-to-Head and Most Valuable Bowler Rich DeYoung and his stunning 559 series, Nellielocks celebrated a clean sweep over The Incredibowls. Spring 2005, Week 7

Posted by BowlingBot On March - 1 - 2005ADD COMMENTS

Spring 2005 Week 7 Robo-RecapBy now every team has bowled each other once, so next week is the Spring 2005 position round. But enough about next week, you came here to read about this week. The seventh week saw two teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (169) and series (503) for the women, while Carl Goetz earned this week's high game (205) and series (588) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Bowlingstar Galactica alternated splits with Sub Parre. Even though highlighted by the skills of Eric Lynch with his 528 series, the Galactica accomplished only 1 win against Sub Parre. As for the opposition, David Parre guided Sub Parre with his above-average 465 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Bowlingstar Galactica drops 1 spot in the standings to 7th place, while Sub Parre moves 1 spot to 3rd.

week7On lanes 21 & 22: The Incredibowls matched wits with All Belt, No Buckle. Despite the strength of #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Carl Goetz and his above-average 588 series, The Incredibowls got swept by the Belt. In the midst of this, Demond Robinson drew the spotlight in the Belt with his above-average 550 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Nik Domann) as they swept the competition. The Incredibowls remains in 8th place, while the Belt remains in 2nd.

On lanes 23 & 24: Big Pin Pin spent some quality time with Nellielocks and the 3 Spares. Led by Mitch Wheeler with his 456 series, Pin Pin collected 3 wins against Nellielocks. On the other side, Dennis Laube reigned supreme in Nellielocks with his 521 despite his team notching only a single win. Big Pin Pin leaps 1 spot in the standings to 6th place, while Nellielocks remain in 5th.

Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: 4 Play couldn't stop undressing with their eyes the members of Handicrappers. Demonstrating the prowess of Angela Bradford with her above-average 503 series, 4 Play collected 3 wins against Handicrappers. Across the ball return, Paul Linder mastered Handicrappers with his 409 despite his team notching only a single win. 4 Play remains in 1st place, while Handicrappers sink 1 spot to 4th.

Bowlers entering The 200 Club include: Carl Goetz (205) and Demond Robinson (202)

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Demond Robinson decimated Division 1, while Nik Domann cleaned up Division 2. Freda Schroeder dominated Division 3, and nobody claimed victory in Division 4 (though Ashley Razak came closest). In terms of overall points: Demond Robinson runs the show in Division 1; Michael Basham tops Division 2; Freda Schroeder holds the reins in Division 3; and Amanda Schulte calls the shots for Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:

  • First, on lanes 19&20, 1st-place 4 Play will face 2nd-place All Belt, No Buckle (hcp 18). 4 Play is expected to maintain their current strength as they and split the series with the Belt; while the Belt is forecast to raise their average while they keep the series tied.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 3rd-place Sub Parre (hcp 2) will share a couple of pitchers with 4th-place Handicrappers. Sub Parre might perform well and win the series; while Handicrappers ought to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 5th-place Nellielocks and the 3 Spares will tussle with 6th-place Big Pin Pin (hcp 58). Nellielocks will likely roll decently and just barely win the series; while Pin Pin will probably hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
  • Finally, on lanes 25&26, 7th-place Bowlingstar Galactica will test their mettle against 8th-place The Incredibowls (hcp 13). The Galactica is predicted to maintain their current strength as they lose the series but avoid getting swept; while The Incredibowls are anticipated to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
