The Fall 2004 season draws to a close, with The Belt Strikes Back officially earning this season's championship title! The final week saw three teams climb in the standings, while two teams slipped. One bowler roll a new personal best game. Ashley Razak picked up this week's high game (174) and series (436) for the women. As for the men, Dennis Laube snagged this week's high game with a 217, and high series was earned by Bill Krejci with a 571. Read on for all the rest of the details!
First up, on lanes 19 & 20: The Belt Strikes Back tussled with Recreation Intoxication. Reinforced by Demond Robinson with his 569 series, the Belt collected 3 wins against Recreation . In the midst of this, Pat Searcy oversaw Recreation with his below-average 540 despite his team notching only a single win. The Belt Strikes Back complete in 1st place, while Recreation plunges 2 spots to go home with 4th.
On lanes 21 & 22: Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with A Solid No. 2. Showcasing Dennis Laube with his above-average 549 series, the Ninjas celebrated a clean sweep over No. 2. On the other half of the score sheet, Corey Weinfurt called the shots for No. 2 with his below-average 476 despite his team getting swept. Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers leap 1 spot in the standings to end the season in 2nd place, while No. 2 come out in 5th.
On lanes 23 & 24: Bowlkake chucked gutter balls with Paul Hamms. Although topped by Justin Strelow with his 540 series, Bowlkake accomplished only 1 win against the Hamms. Concurrently, #1 Head-to-Head Bill Krejci guided the Hamms with his above-average 571 (with a nod to #1 Power-Ranked Mark McClendon) as his team took the series with 3 wins. Bowlkake drops 1 spot in the standings to finish in 7th place, while the Hamms move 1 spot to cross the finish line in 6th.
Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: Die Schlag-Maschinen spent some quality time with Ashley Razabacks. Even though highlighted by the skills of Jerry Krall with his 409 series, Die Schlag-Maschinen managed only 1.5 wins against the Razabacks. In the meantime, Rich DeYoung shined in the Razabacks with his 495 (with kudos to Most Valuable Bowler Ashley Razak) as his team took the series with 2.5 wins. Die Schlag-Maschinen close out in 8th place, while the Razabacks move 1 spot to end up with 3rd.

A new personal high game was set tonight by Kris Hiestand (153, previous best 140).
After a hard fought season, the Tournament of Champions was won tonight by Ray Haynes (Division 4), with Dennis Laube (Division 1) landing in second place. Ray will pocket the nice first-place pot, while Dennis will take away the second-place pot. Congratulations!
