Fall 2004 Week 4 Robo-RecapThe fourth week of Fall 2004 saw three teams climb in the standings, while three teams slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (229) and series (516) for the women. As for the men, Justin Strelow snagged this week's high game with a 221, and high series was earned by Bill Krejci with a 592. Meanwhile, the Tournament of Champions also kicked off tonight, beginning of 13 weeks of one-on-one bowling excitement! Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: A Solid No. 2 waged a heated competition against Die Schlag-Maschinen. Led by Corey Weinfurt with his below-average 514 series, No. 2 collected 3 wins against Die Schlag-Maschinen. On the adjacent lane, Mike Killion called the shots for Die Schlag-Maschinen with his above-average 367 despite his team notching only a single win. A Solid No. 2 leaps 2 spots in the standings to 5th place, while Die Schlag-Maschinen plunges 2 spots to 7th.

week4On lanes 21 & 22: Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers entered a showdown to the death with The Belt Strikes Back. Featuring Dennis Laube with his 510 series, the Ninjas collected 3 wins against the Belt. Meanwhile, Nik Domann showed off in the Belt with his outstanding 546 despite his team notching only a single win. Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers remains in 1st place, while the Belt plunges 2 spots to 6th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Bowlkake chucked gutter balls with Paul Hamms. While headlined by Ken M. Wilson with his 556 series, Bowlkake got swept by the Hamms. While that was going down, #1 Head-to-Head and Most Valuable Bowler Bill Krejci took the lead in the Hamms with his above-average 592 as they swept the competition. Bowlkake plummets 2 spots in the standings to 4th place, while the Hamms move 1 spot to 2nd.

Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: Ashley Razabacks celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Recreation Intoxication. With the Razabacks forfeiting, all Recreation needed to do was roll within 40 pins of their combined team average each game. Mission accomplished. In their battle to get within at least 40 pins of average, Angela Bradford ruled Recreation with her above-average 516 (with a nod to #1 Power-Ranked Deena Slinkard) as they swept the competition. Ashley Razabacks remains in 8th place, while Recreation jumps 3 spots to 3rd.

Bowlers slipping into The 200 Club include: Angela Bradford (229), Bill Krejci (208,203), Dennis Laube (200), Justin Strelow (221), and Nik Domann (209)

A new personal high game was set tonight by Deena Slinkard (194, previous best 192). In addition, a new personal best series was rolled by Bill Krejci (592, previous best 591).

Angela Bradford earned both this season's women's high game and series with her 229 and 516, respectively.

The 229 rolled by Angela Bradford is the new 4th-best women's game in league history!

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Dennis Laube conquered Division 1, while Nik Domann mopped up Division 2. Deena Slinkard staked a claim for the Iron Throne in Division 3, and Ray Haynes swept Division 4. In terms of overall points: Dennis Laube dominates Division 1; Nik Domann tops Division 2; Deena Slinkard governs Division 3; and Ray Haynes runs the show in Division 4.

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 19&20, 1st-place Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers (hcp 80) will chill with 4th-place Bowlkake. The Ninjas are expected to perform well and win the series; while Bowlkake is forecast to drop their average a bit while they avoid getting swept.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 3rd-place Recreation Intoxication will share a couple of pitchers with 7th-place Die Schlag-Maschinen (hcp 136). Recreation might maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while Die Schlag-Maschinen ought to raise their average even as they endure a rough night.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 5th-place A Solid No. 2 will tussle with 8th-place Ashley Razabacks (hcp 492). No. 2 will likely maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while the Razabacks will probably see their team average take a dive while they endure a rough night.
  • Finally, on lanes 25&26, 2nd-place Paul Hamms (hcp 60) will hang out with 6th-place The Belt Strikes Back. The Hamms are predicted to perform well, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while the Belt is anticipated to raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
