Fall 2004 Week 1 Robo-RecapThe Fall 2004 season is now underway, with eight teams entering the 16-week competition for the coveted, nonexistent championship trophy. One bowler set a new personal best series, and one rolled new personal high game. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (168) and series (469) for the women, while Justin Strelow earned this week's high game (233) and series (609) for the men. Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 19 & 20: Bowlkake shared a few beers with The Belt Strikes Back. Headlined by #1 Power-Ranked Justin Strelow and his awe-inspiring 609 series, Bowlkake split the series with the Belt. Countering this, Nik Domann mastered the Belt with his 490 as they matched their opponent in wins. Bowlkake leaves the gate in 4th place, while the Belt commences the season with 5th.

week1On lanes 21 & 22: A Solid No. 2 couldn't stop inappropriately groping Recreation Intoxication. Starring Corey Weinfurt with his 533 series, No. 2 collected 3 wins against Recreation . In the meantime, Pat Searcy dominated Recreation with his (either injured, sick, or sandbagging) 483 despite his team notching only a single win. A Solid No. 2 begins the season in 2nd place, while Recreation gets rolling in 6th.

On lanes 23 & 24: Paul Hamms alternated between bowling and dry humping Die Schlag-Maschinen. With the strength of #1 Head-to-Head Bill Krejci and his 530 series, the Hamms collected 3 wins against Die Schlag-Maschinen. Concurrently, Amanda Schulte oversaw Die Schlag-Maschinen with her 356 despite her team notching only a single win. Paul Hamms starts out in 3rd place, while Die Schlag-Maschinen starts off with 7th.

Finally, down on lanes 25 & 26: Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers deliberately ate cheese sticks in front of Ashley Razabacks. Showcasing Dennis Laube with his 476 series, the Ninjas celebrated a clean sweep over the Razabacks. . With the Razabacks forfeiting, all the Ninjas needed to do was roll within 40 pins of their combined team average each game. Mission accomplished. Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers gets underway in 1st place, while the Razabacks begin in 8th.

Bowlers slipping under the velvet rope in front of The 200 Club include: James Long (211) and Justin Strelow (206,233)

A new personal high game was set tonight by Justin Strelow (233, previous best 210). In addition, a new personal best series was rolled by Justin Strelow (609, previous best 528).

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 19&20, 7th-place Die Schlag-Maschinen will spend some quality time with 8th-place Ashley Razabacks (estimated hcp 359). Die Schlag-Maschinen is expected to maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while the Razabacks are forecast to see their team average take a dive while they endure a rough night.
  • Moving to lanes 21&22, 3rd-place Paul Hamms (estimated hcp 76) will challenge 1st-place Real Ultimate Ninja Bowlers. The Hamms might awe-inspiring and sweep the series; while the Ninjas ought to raise their average even as they endure a rough night.
  • Then, over on lanes 23&24, 5th-place The Belt Strikes Back (estimated estimated hcp 5) will compete against 6th-place Recreation Intoxication. The Belt will likely roll decently and win the series; while Recreation will probably raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
  • Finally, on lanes 25&26, 4th-place Bowlkake will battle 2nd-place A Solid No. 2 (hcp 48). Bowlkake is predicted to roll a little low, but split the series with No. 2; while No. 2 is anticipated to hold steady as they keep the series tied.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
