Spring 2004 Week 4 Robo-RecapThe fourth week of Spring 2004 saw one team climb in the standings, while one team slipped. One bowler set a new personal best series, and two rolled new personal high games. Deena Slinkard landed this week's high game for the women with a 180, and women's high series was bagged by Angela Bradford with a 509. As for the men, Ken M. Wilson earned this week's high game (224) and series (603). Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 15 & 16: Got Carpio? took turns kicking the ball return with 2 Tall Asians, 2 Short Whites. Demonstrating the prowess of #1 Head-to-Head Jason Carpio and his splendid 577 series, Got Carpio? split the series with the White Asians. In the meantime, Thomas Lin drew the spotlight in the White Asians with his above-average 553 as they matched their opponent in wins. Got Carpio? plummets 2 spots in the standings to 5th place, while the White Asians remain in 1st.

week4On lanes 17 & 18: T.R.O.T.B. celebrated their love of large, heavy balls with Joey's B*tches. In spite of top-billing by Nik Domann with his below-average 469 series, T.R.O.T.B. got swept by the B*tches. On the other half of the score sheet, #1 Power-Ranked and Most Valuable Bowler Ken M. Wilson guided the B*tches with his outstanding 603 as they swept the competition. T.R.O.T.B. remains in 6th place, while the B*tches jump 2 spots to 3rd.

Finally, down on lanes 19 & 20: Recreation Intoxication shared a few beers with The Bowling Stones. Though reinforced by Angela Bradford with her 509 series, Recreation accomplished only 1 win against the Stones. Meanwhile, Scott Musgrove mastered the Stones with his phenomenal 432 as his team took the series with 3 wins. Recreation Intoxication remains in 2nd place, while the Stones remain in 4th.

Bowlers slipping under the velvet rope in front of The 200 Club include: Jason Carpio (203), Ken M. Wilson (203,224), and Thomas Lin (201)

New personal high games were set tonight by Jason Carpio (203, previous best 201) and Amanda Schulte (155, previous best 153). In addition, a new personal best series was rolled by Jason Carpio (577, previous best 550).

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 15&16, 3rd-place Joey's B*tches will compete against 4th-place The Bowling Stones (hcp 128). The B*tches are expected to maintain their current strength as they sweep the series; while the Stones are forecast to hold steady as they endure a rough night.
  • Moving to lanes 17&18, 1st-place 2 Tall Asians, 2 Short Whites (hcp 64) will meet with 2nd-place Recreation Intoxication. The White Asians might perform well, but split the series with Recreation; while Recreation ought to drop their average a bit while they keep the series tied.
  • Finally, on lanes 19&20, 6th-place T.R.O.T.B. (hcp 26) will face 5th-place Got Carpio?. T.R.O.T.B. is predicted to roll decently and win the series; while Got Carpio? is anticipated to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
