Fall 2003 Week 15 Robo-RecapA stagnated fifteenth week of Fall 2003 resulted in absolutely no movement in the standings. One bowler set a new personal best series. Angela Bradford picked up this week's high game (156) and series (436) for the women, while Thomas Lin earned this week's high game (226) and series (668) for the men. Meanwhile, Tournament of Champions is officially down to its final eight bowlers, who will face each other next week competing for two cash prizes! Read on for all the rest of the details!

First up, on lanes 15 & 16: Bowl me Ishmael! faced off against Gutter Minds. Topped by Most Valuable Bowler Amanda Schulte and her splendid 397 series, Ishmael celebrated a clean sweep over Gutter Minds. In the midst of this, Pat Searcy mastered Gutter Minds with his 556 despite his team getting swept. Bowl me Ishmael! remains in 3rd place, while Gutter Minds remain in 6th.

week15On lanes 17 & 18: Bowlers of Mass Confusion entered a showdown to the death with Spare Change. Highlighting the skills of Justin Strelow with his above-average 500 series, Mass Confusion split the series with Spare Change. Conversely, Demond Robinson laid down the law in Spare Change with his 503 as they matched their opponent in wins. Bowlers of Mass Confusion remains in 2nd place, while Spare Change remains in 7th.

On lanes 19 & 20: Theee Beeelt kept grabbing the balls of Anchors Aweigh!. With the strength of Aaron Weidner with his breathtaking 598 series, Theee Beeelt split the series with the Anchors. While that was going down, Ken M. Wilson oversaw the Anchors with his above-average 595 as they matched their opponent in wins. Theee Beeelt remains in 4th place, while the Anchors remain in 1st.

Finally, down on lanes 21 & 22: Wolverines couldn't stop undressing with their eyes the members of Atomic Goo. Demonstrating the prowess of #1 Power Ranked and #1 Head-to-Head Thomas Lin and his stunning 668 series, the Wolverines celebrated a clean sweep over Atomic Goo. On the other side, Phil Schroeder showed off in Atomic Goo with his 422 despite his team getting swept. Wolverines remains in 5th place, while Atomic Goo remains in 8th.

Bowlers who lied to their significant other claiming bowling was running long then went out for after-bowling drinks at The 200 Club include: Aaron Weidner (223), David Codding (213,207), Ken M. Wilson (200,204), and Thomas Lin (218,226,224)

A new personal best series was rolled tonight by Thomas Lin (668, previous best 646).

Adding to the excitement, the 668 rolled by Thomas Lin is this season's new high series for men.

The 668 rolled by Thomas Lin is the new 2nd-best series in league history!

In this week's Tournament of Champions brackets: Ken M. Wilson walloped Division 1, while Thomas Lin dominated Division 2. Phil Schroeder spanked Division 3, and Rich Oswald clobbered Division 4. Congratulations to our division champions! The following eight people will compete next week for the big prize!

NEXT WEEK:
  • First, on lanes 15&16, 1st-place Anchors Aweigh! will battle 2nd-place Bowlers of Mass Confusion (hcp 72). The Anchors are expected to maintain their current strength as they and split the series with Mass Confusion; while Mass Confusion is forecast to raise their average while they keep the series tied.
  • Moving to lanes 17&18, 5th-place Wolverines will spend some quality time with 3rd-place Bowl me Ishmael! (hcp 74). The Wolverines might perform well and win the series; while Ishmael ought to raise their average even as they avoid getting swept.
  • Then, over on lanes 19&20, 4th-place Theee Beeelt (hcp 40) will hang out with 6th-place Gutter Minds. Theee Beeelt will likely roll decently, yet still manage to lose the series but avoid getting swept; while Gutter Minds will probably raise their average while they enjoy their victories.
  • Finally, on lanes 21&22, 7th-place Spare Change will throw some gutter balls with 8th-place Atomic Goo (estimated hcp 71). Spare Change is predicted to maintain their current strength as they win the series; while Atomic Goo is anticipated to hold steady as they avoid getting swept.
*(Remember, the predicted results above are based on mathematical extrapolations and can be changed by all sorts of factors. If you don't like how your team's results are predicted, you and your teammates have the power to prove the math wrong!)
